"Small"... You download the whole game again, and then have to extract it from its state as a compressed archive.
Currently, the game is 15.4 GB in size. That's not small.

Second, any game-breaking bugs that might be in a first release of each version should be fixed in the bugfix release.
So you save yourself the time of playing a borked release, then going on here and typing a bunch of pointless stuff about weird behaviour of the game/black screen issue etc, because nobody here can do anything about it and KST doesn't frequent these forums to see the issues people here are posting about.
