This game and others are created to make money. At first it's free. After you get used to it, it will ask you to make a monthly paid subscription.

that was my thought too, but it conflicts with the data from the game.
what we download here is the same as what KsT uploads.
when you start the game or log in to your account, the game checks which membership you have and can then play accordingly or not.
Now that's interesting... Didn't used to be the case, based solely on people's experience with $1 patronage working just fine.
I wonder if it's meant to work as a filter for what content you can access, or when you can actually play at all and simply wasn't/doesn't work as intended.
I wouldn't have a problem if it functioned as a time-gate for current/newest content, but the fact that it prevents playing at all if you don't have a linked and paying patreon account (aka subscribe to play) is a big "pirate the shit out of his work" for me.
It's worse than when it was introduced in The Twist, since you could still play but not save/load beyond autosaves without a cracked copy... Yes, that's still the case too.

every player who has a 1$ membership should not be able to play the content of 0.31 yet. Jeiz made it sound like you just download the new version here, log in to your 1$ account and play the new content.

I mean, no of course not, but unfortunately that's piracy. Hope he finds way to bypass the 1$ access and make it be the required 10$ and lower it when other subscriptions get access. Same thing goes with the Visual Novel makers, hopefully they will find a way people need to pay at least something and not just get the download link for free here, when someone leaks it. I despise piracy and that's why I usually support those creators' games I like by buying their game on steam/supporting them some amount I afford to pay.

right, if you want to/can play a game for free, then you should at least have the decency to keep your feet still until someone brings a crack without being asked.

Yea but yapping about stuff like this here is irrelevant either way. I found this place in 2018 to find games like Summertime Saga back in the days and in my opinion it still is the best way to find them and that's why I'm here and I think you are also.

if i would support KsT with 1$ now, then i can play it in 2 weeks, but then also with bugfixes and possible new content, so it's worth the wait.
if i don't support KsT, then i can only play it with crack and if no crack comes, then i just can't play it or i support it with 1$.
how you turn it around, it's always wait or pay.
True! I found 2, maybe 3, projects on this site and support them with my cash. Sadly I can't do that anymore, cause patreon banned in my country and I can't use my card fully

I'm just going to say something neutral on all of this, I'm not supporting any side on any discussion anywhere.
Simple fact: EON (Nenad Asanovic) an artist that to me will always be in the top 5 ever, an artist I have personally several times paid a membership, and always paid the highest VIP membership when I did that, since starting his anti-piracy DRM, has not increased much his paying supporter number, on average.
I'm simply saying I have not seen consistent proof that DRM increases the profit of any game.
I'm not trying to argue with anyone. Don't take this as some political statement.
The additional work of establishing a good DRM anti-piracy protection may not result in considerable increase in profit.
Having said this, I respect every ones opinion on this controversial, and 100% subjective topic.
Instead of anti-piracy, a better change (that may be very much impossible) would be to have an in-house F95 payment (or some other website obviously...) that would remove any percentage cut from the profits these companies are the middleman of.
That would be maybe better for the artists. Given that I have not seen myself an increase of 10% for Nenad's profit, but I bet Patreon takes approx 10% out of Nenad's profits.
Just a personal opinion, no need to take it seriously.
