It's a single developer, games take time. On grand scale this will be a larger game. Content is being added often as we can see. This is piracy site, each to their own opinion, but milking compared to some other shit here is a strech. Hope you enjoy your other game and you're welcome to stay there.

Obv because it hasn't finished yet. The thread was posted in 2020, and the last update was a whole two MONTHS ago. Headpats and Handholds was a solo dev and finished in 21 months (despite being an RPG maker gamer and having a straightforward narrative). Unveiling the Unknown was a solo dev and it finished in only 11 months (despite using pre-existing art with the artist permission and having an extremely basic gameplay loop)!!!!!!!!!!
This is the exact same type of game, with a similar level of ambition and scope to it as those aforementioned projects. The only possible explanation is that the dev is nefarious, scandalous, thievish, roguish, scamming, delaying, smelly, coniferous, and downright EVIL being. Occam's razor said so. You use the blunt part of the razor to bash the problem, right?
Clearly, this is the same thing as other games on this site I shan't name, and therefore, a form of intense defraudment, only describable using the language of the agricultural community.

Kind of. You basically will just have that unlocked for what it's turned on. With the GH open, you'll make the money back in no time

i dont get why yall are acting like its the end of the world theres game that have done way worse and make updates and decisions that are so bad that years go down the drain. i think its better to just ignore it until you see the completed tag if you really get mad that its not finished yet. there are completed games out there go play those instead

Hey,
To be honest with everyone, I wanted to say sorry for not looking at the topic here too much lately. I knew I'll see people talking about me not posting an update in long time so I didn't want to get down by being reminded of it daily. Trust me, I know and it stresses me also.
Thank you all so much, that you are all interested in the game so much that you keep asking about the update, without you the game would never leave the concept stage.
For those not following my posts on subscriber sites or my loose messages on discord, I moved at the start of May. It was a long time coming, because we had to leave the last place because of some family matters. This new place is newly built and to this point I still don't have internet, all I'm using is my phone's hot-spot connection to be connected, which isn't a very good connection. It doesn't help that this place was built outside of the city and neighbors that were here before were making problems about letting optic fiber companies connect other houses from them. Just to upload builds I had to use my in-law’s workplace, after their work, as nothing bigger than a few MB can be uploaded without issues here. The Internet is being promised basically each week, that next week it definitely will be ready... whenever it will be, we will return to the normal update schedule. This is the same reason why I didn't make any streams about game creations, my phone isn't able to even show me more than 360p youtube videos here.
That didn't mean I wasn't working. Yesterday I finally uploaded the new build 0.8.51, big update, because we have 11 new events, a new sex statistics screen, new client, bunch of quality of life updates, a lot of optimization in code and a whole wall of bug fixes. Many things, like new maids, vip room, events (like Emilia gangbang) are also being worked on constantly, so be sure I'm not sitting here just sitting and staring at the wall drying after painting it.
Also trust me that I thought and hoped that at this point the game would be finished already. I have concepts for other games and as mentioned before, I'm already learning Unreal Engine to use as an engine for my next game. I'm already very happy with animations I'm able to make for that next game, but still the worst is ahead of me, that is learning to make my own models from scratch.
That all mentioned, if you have any questions, the best way is to find me in discord as I'm there daily, answering your questions and being naturally stupid.
There are some misconceptions being said so let me answer some questions, feel free to answer back:
And I totally understand how you feel but be sure, I'm doing my best. I can just finish the game in the next update, put a sticker on it 'completed' and be done with it and move to the one of my next projects I have ideas about, but I want this game to be good and enjoyable. Don't want to finish it like Game of Thrones last season, haha. When I finish SCC, I want to not play it for a year or more and then come back and play it myself, enjoy it like any other game, like you enjoyed it through years.
As mentioned before, I'm a singular dude that doesn't even know how to code. I was learning with each update. At this point I'm quite sure of my abilities in GMS2 (engine the SCC is running on) and I'm expanding so I hope I'll be able to be better at this. I even fixed my own code that was literally stitched together with wet spaghetti and sometimes I wondered how that even worked.
That said, SCC has hours of gameplay and events, about which I'm very happy. You still can enjoy it for more than a few days.
Thank you for sticking around here and for all your support. I'll do my best to bring you the best possible content. I'll also do my best to finish SCC this year or at least release some prototype of my next game for subscribers so you all know I'm in game development to stay. Games need sex ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°), I like the sharing content in those and we can't wait for AAA or even bigger indie devs to add it. Be the change you want to see!

Game looks great! I wish I was able to finish a game in 6 months too! Please do enjoy playing it, as I'm happy we all get many indie developed games we can all play. After all, I enjoy porn games as much as the other person (at least here, lol), so each time there is a completed game that actually plays good (and btw has real gameplay) I'm super happy. I can't wait to get on the internet again and play some backlogs of games to see what new things have been added lately.

VIP room is fully functioning. It has its own animations, maid can wait here and clients go there, you get cash and stats. I mentioned before that I'm slightly changing it, but nothing major, so you can keep using it without problems. Just expect it to be sexier.
Interesting idea, to be honest I had no idea people would wait to get introduced to it. That mentioned, I can implement an event that plays if by, let's say, day 10 you didn't use pins. It introduces the idea of it as a loose concept (the shopkeeper tells more about it when you buy them). Sounds like an interesting idea and reminder to those that are waiting for sharing content, that they have to start it themselves.

I love the engagement from the dev despite theoretically losing money on it. I hope the added attention from this community pays off. I'm thinking if I want to play this game I will buy it. But AX coming up, so not now lol.
This looks like a completely different type of game. Reminds me more of Welcome to sexy bar then Secret Care Cafe. You're just comparing apples and oranges. Not that anything is wrong with the game you linked the premise seems fine just completely different.
RareAlex has been pretty straightforward and does update relatively frequently. Not sure why people are so angry about the game not being finished. Dev has even added requested features that patrons and people here have asked for. If there was radio silence for several months that might make sense but we get dev logs frequently.
Don't know the ratio but most of the backrooms is sharing. You don't have to give the gf or yandere a pin but it'll lock out those scenes. For events the MC does seem to have more NSFW or teasing scenes with all the girls then sharing does overall but if you don't like sharing it is a pretty important aspect to the game.
