Did you adjust the message speed and auto delay settings? I had the same problem which went away after I turned down both sliders from the max to around 50%.

Well a big one would be haramese simulator. To my knowledge they use a combo of custom art and ripped assets from non-english tl jap vns (although one they used from was translated recently).
