So is there any possibility that once the next version comes out, the previous one (2.8.5) will be public?

The previous version is super buggy; there is really no point. Like it was said in the devlog it's a lot better to wait till they fix all that mess as it's pretty nigh unplayable.
Testing it then streamlining the code AFTER testing is why the last version is unplayable.
If the dev happens to see this you have to test the code you're actually publishing - every single time.

It is Sunday night, and here is what I have worked on this last weekend.
The issues with Val seem to have gone away.
I have also made it to the library, and re-done the script so it is now available with no issues.
I have also added another section to the library scene so the story can continue.
As far as the Flora meeting, that is being revamped so that that path is correct.
If you choose either, that path is now about to work.
Either punch or restrain yourself. Comes out two different ways now.
Added another set of Brynn story, while she is working so Rayne can get the photo from her, and also send one to her.
Started to finish the first photoshoot with Val.
The phone bug, I think I figured out by adding more script to the phone system, so the backs actually work and appear when certain quests are complete.
The pool with Val is my next step in making sure that Val can be spoken to, even if nothing is to be done.
Mari Shower scene has been rendered, and also her beginning scene is in place.
I have also started making music, that actually isn't boring, using my own piano and my own playing.
I play every day, and try to make it right for all of you.
I think that is it, for this time around.
I will have the beta testers testing all of this and more, before I ship it out to you next weekend.

Brynn's Story Continues...

As I was saying... I have now almost finished the story for Brynn for the update,
since the last update left so many holes in her story.
I do not wish for you to keep reloading the game and trying to figure out what the hell is going with her.
I have added another set of images, another library action,
and also a phone conversation you can have with her before the internet goes live.
This sets up with what will be happening in the next few updates.
I have run through most of the game, and still am very positive there are no / minor bugs in the version I am playing.
I have it set as 2.9.0, but in reality it will be 2.8.8.
I am sorry for the delay in posting from yesterday.
I was very busy trying to finish off the new renders, which of course I will share some of them with you.
