Dont wanna be that guy, but what exactly is the deal with all these games that steal porn videos/images from copyrighted sources? Obviously using someone else's content as your own is fucked up, but do people actually pay for this kind of shit on Patreon?
Imo, there are a multitude of reasons.
- Many people prefer or at least like games with RL pictures.
- It's a decent alternative if you have no drawing/rendering skills or not a PC that can adequately handle it.
- It's a community habit. If people consume such games for years, it feels natural to them to try making one in the same fashion.
Also, I'd argue that trying to search for between picture sets and actresses in order to have some form of consistency is as laborious as posing dozens of scenes on a 3d software. Of course where it's applicable (not the haphazard mess of gifs that many HTML games are).
That's what one decides to support. The effort in that, plus the actual labor of coding/writing as you mentioned.
Plus, I'm willing to bet a kidney or two that many creators that use Daz have "forgot" to pay for the metric ton of assets they utilize. So it's kind of the same case, but not as in-your-face.
And do the porn companies ever bother to do anything about it?
I don't think I've ever saw any company bother. Mainly because these games almost solely fly under the radar, none of it made it big.
It doesn't deprive them of any significant income and it doesn't hurt their brand (unlike, say, using Disney princesses parodies or similar -see Akabur-).
Don't believe it's worth the effort of trying to pinpoint John Doe's Paypal that gets 50$/month.
