VN - Ren'Py - Seducing the Devil [v0.12c] [DeafPerv]

This game is pleasantly good. The women's looks are up my alley and turns me on so much, especially the gorgeous Selina and Veronica. Even MC's looks i find quite interesting and atractive, making me believe that these bunch of stuning women are lustfull for him. The supernatural plot is decently write and serve to the story and the different paths and branch add good replayability value.

I wasn't sure what to expect going into this VN especially based off of the tags alone. What I experienced was probably the ultimate mindfuck that a story could deliver. Between the rapid jump in time and the constant reversal of time you can't trust your own judgement on what is currently going on present day.

The Pros
This VN has a lot going for it with an interesting enough concept that the plot revolves around. Even the wittiest of sleuths will have a hard time predicting the outcome of certain actions both early on and later in the story. The plot reveals itself just enough for you to begin feeling as though you might have a grip on the events unfolding, only for the author to reverse time through use of Lileva or Cherry.

The primary concept of time manipulation is used as indicator to the player that we're now viewing past events, however the execution also informs the player which of the two demonic characters is gaining the advantage. Depending on the choices you make, either Lileva or Cherry will reverse time in an attempt to gain a favorable outcome. As such, it can serve as an indication which of the characters will come out on top depending on which of the two is reversing time more often, so choose accordingly as eventually one of the two will overpower the other.

The character development is present and effective enough to give the player a sense of satisfaction as their choices begin to shape the people they'll encounter throughout the story. However do note that there are two main LI's that take center-stage more often than the others.

The Cons
The VN is far from finished as players will soon notice by placeholder models that are prevalent in most scenes. The latter half of the story does see an improvement as most models are finished, but take this as a general warning that the unfinished models do add a creepy factor to the overall experience.

Despite the story splitting into 4 main paths with 10 possible outcomes (currently, this may change with future updates), we as the player are limited in the choices we can make. The lack of input early on can prove especially frustrating as we slowly begin to understand that everything done during this time directly benefits the antagonist of the story. Despite this complaint, the complexity of the plot leaves little room for the dev to flesh out choices early on since the story revolves around a twist that occurs halfway through.

On the topic of choices, it should be noted that your first few choices give off the illusion of having an impact on the story, however once we hit the plot twist it's revealed that the choice we make here is the one that matters and will result in the split into 1 of the 4 main paths. The only outcome your initial choices have on the path is indicating which of the paths results in a "good" ending.

Final Deduction
This VN thoroughly impressed me despite some of the complaints outlined in the cons section. Even with the lack of polish this VN gets a solid 4 out of 5 primarily due to the unique integration of controlling time and clever method of conveying key information on the progress we're making as the MC.

It'll be exciting to experience the full story and explore the complex world this dev is creating!

story: 2/5 The story looks nice, but I don't know if it's due to the many changes in temporality at the beginning or to the translation (which is human and not automatic)
but I very quickly picked up to finally only make rapid advances

characters: 3/5 I don't really know, since I haven't read too much, I could hang on to none of them

sex scene: 5/5 well written and well done and good duration

renders: 3/5 I'm really not a fan of the "design" of the women in this game. The images are very often very (too) dark and the sets are minimalist

animation: 3/5 We start with a very beautiful one, then nothing for a long time, then very ugly ones, then again very beautiful ones, so it's really not constant, too bad

sound: none, very unfortunate

gameplay: 2/5 Really few choices and very "binary" little impression of importance

I'm kinda in the line with Seducing the Devil (0.11c version), with strong positive and negative things in it. The main thing is the story, I like strong complex stories and this one tries to be so, but they are hard to do for a reason and I'm not sure the game devs can pull it off. There are lots of jumps to the past and the future in the story, which is nice, but also there are constant dabblings by the devils and this makes most all characters just behave mostly randomly. I can't actually empathize or get interested in any of them as they are all just fuck toys in the hands of the deus exes pulling the strings, making it hard to care which way the story develops as I don't care about any of the characters.

Render and animation quality is very good, especially in the later chapters. On the bad side, there is no sound to be taken into the equation. But at least I didn't get any bugs, outside what I think were some tracking mistakes (references to scenes that hadn't happened, but then again, with all the memory wipes happening in the story, not sure if they were a mistake or just another one of those).

So, all in all, I'm on the cautious side in this one. If the story advances and manages to make those characters more human and interesting it can be very good, but if it stays like this it'll be just a quick skip-dialogue-for-fap kind of game. Which is a pity as it has a strong potential to be more, but I think the main 4-decision you have to take was a game designer mistake, it requires too much work to pull off correctly.

Seducing the devil is a game that is severely underrated. Its story is a mystery that each update reveals a little more of. Its cast sports an assortment of beautiful women (though none better than Veronica, in my opinion), and I'm sure you will find one you fancy over the rest. The game looks good, and I honestly can't recommend it enough.

The work is excellent , The character modeling is excellent too . I was very focused on this game in 2020 , The update will be discontinued in 2021 , In 2022 author's plot design is clearly weak , Plot design reflects the author is very confused, creation is very passive . I wish the author to recreate the amazing experience of 2020 .

Graphics+Models: The girls often do not look pretty and have ugly faces. Strange bodies and ridiculously oversized tits almost every time. Variety doesn't exist. More than once I have not only not felt attracted but even repelled to some of the girls. The girls that are ok are absolutely unrealistic look like Barbie dolls and are nothing special.

MC: The MC has a very strange personality and is very unpleasant to play. When he catches his girlfriend cheating, he protects HER for example...

Story: The story is quite strange more than once illogical and quite ridiculous. There are some AVNs with shallow stories that doesn't have to mean that the game itself is bad, if the story at least doesn't get in the way and you have lots of action with pretty girls. But the girls are not pretty and the story rather spoils the experience. For example, if the story desperately tries to explain why it's totally okay that your girlfriend cheats on you with her mother. And her mother is just a burned child as well, so everything fine with you getting cucked (although the dev, by the way, promised to never add NTR).

Kinks: Well you know what I love? A dev, who makes a promise and then he breaks it and adds things to the game that he said he wouldn't. And the only thing he has to defend himself with are semantic definitions of the kinks...

Choices: There are choices in this game. The problem is that firstly they are sometimes very intransparent in what they really do and secondly that exactly when you need a decision you don't get it. Maybe you don't want to betray your best buddy and break his heart? Maybe you don't want to forgive your girlfriend, etc.

Briefly summarized: Bad graphics, ugly models, strange and weak MC, cheating girlfriends and a developer with apparently very strange tendencies. No idea who should play this.

The only redeeming quality of this game are the renders, they look great to be honest. The rest of the game is just not that good. The story is extremely hard to follow, there are some weird cuts to the scenes and time jumps that are not explained properly that half the time you're just wondering what is even going on. It's just way too complicated in my opinion. There are some choices in the game that actually impact stuff but like 90% of the time it feels like you're playing a kinetic novel. A lot the women look strange, like I get that you want to have curvy women in the game but some of these are just way over the top. The vast majority of the characters are just straight up unlikable and that includes the MC.

Also there's unavoidable ntr, I'm not gonna complain about it because it's in the tags but I tried to give the dev benefit of the doubt because according to him, it's not ntr. Well it just is ntr by any angle you try to look at it.

This developer is extremely dedicated and responsive to feedback. He's stuck by this project for quite a while despite several setbacks. The artwork and animations continue to improve with time. Veronica is goated.

Story would be interesting if it wasnt so confusing and hard to follow.
Renders are decent(ish) nothing spectacular but nothing to bad either.
Choices : oh boy this is where it gets tricky cause on one hand you can chose your path but in some key elements of the game you have 0 power to change anything.
Its a sub par game to say the least,it would be a 3 maybe 4 star game if you had full controll over the content you want but sadly it isnt.

I do not like forcing actions to get a scene. I really do not like being forced into sexual actions with a female I had not interest in. The story is all over the place,which can actually be good if the plot itself is solid enough...it isn't in this.

Tractor tire boobs for nearly every female. Boobs so gigantic it would be physically impossible to walk. It gets really strange with some characters,like Kylie who appears to have semi normal though large breast in a bikini,but once that top it removed they seem to grow to tractor tires. They must have had a problem getting clothing to work on some of the tractor tire boobs because it is not just Kylie that seems to happen with.The only characters who do not have tractor tires for boobs I saw are Riley,Cathy,and Lilith. Riley has huge tits as does Cathy,but at least they could exist on an actually human females body and Lilith has probably a B or C cup,but when compared to all the tractor tire tits in this game they appear tiny.

Giant asses. Most of the models are just gross frankly. It is like they are obese whales with a somehow tiny waist. If you are grossed out by gigantic unrealistic/physically impossible breasts or fat asses this game is not for you.
Side note the game is bloated. 5.7Gig. Post # 3776 in the thread has a link for compressed to less than 1gig and it works with the mod still....if you still want to try this.

There's creative/mysterious plot and then there's downright confusing. The pacing is very much off. Other reviews have already explained this in depth, so I'll spare it.

My second biggest problem is that I felt roped into certain actions with girls I didn't like and also punished for taking decisions that felt necessary to see content. When the plot is central, then all choices should feel viable.

I finally did a full playthrough. This is one of those games that won't appeal to staunch harem enthusiasts that believe harems need to be like WVM or something similar. As for the NTR tag, it's not real NTR that would actually appeal to people looking for NTR, but I can concede that there are quite a few iffy situations that would really bother someone who hates anything close to it.

Basically, the target audience is likely the corruption crowd that are comfortable with infidelity (both by the MC and by some of the girls) and complicated relationships that are not overtly framed as NTR but is full of jealousy, infatuation, and lust... if that makes sense.

Now that we've established this, let's get on with the actual game. Yes, nearly every single review mentions the confusing and convoluted plot. There is liberal use of flashbacks, flashforwards, dreams, fantasy, hallucinations, memory loss, and everything in between with very little help in establishing a solid timeline. Yea, it's a mess. I believe I got the gist of it by the end, but the narrative flow leaves you so disoriented that you kinda just stop caring if you got everything right or not.

That said, whatever you do make out of the story is pretty interesting and creative. There is an appeal to all this convoluted entanglement of the characters for people who enjoy rocky relationships.

I believe the general direction of the game is that if you are cheating on everyone and try to go for the harem, it will be a descent into depravity and madness where the MC becomes corrupted and corrupts everyone else in turn. If you try to be a decent person and make the one crucial choice in favor of sorting out all the relationship issues, there might be a happier outcome. So I'm thinking that it is a choice of dark harem vs "pure" romance, but don't quote me on that.

As for the sex scenes. There are plenty. Oh yea, this is an all out porn game. I think the scenes are done very well. It's certainly better than the majority of random western VNs that pop up all the time just by the virtue of having a decent amount of sex dialogues and nice variation in positions during most scenes. The animation and render quality is quite good as well. Some of the scenes could stand to be a bit more drawn out, but there is no shortage of scenes and you won't have to read very much to get to the next scene.

I think realistically, the game is more of a 3*. The narrative shortcomings weigh down the game a lot. However, I am actually right in the target audience for this game, and I was able to enjoy it quite a bit.

Some of the models are decent, but the switch ups from scene to scene and inability to tell who is who and what perspective and is this a dream and and and for fucks sake. I give up. Not what I look for in a good adult VN. Throw in on top of that NTR, Sharing, and monster women (devil), it is an easy uninstall and off the the dust bin with you.

My sincerest advice is to make the writing and screen transitions smoother. I honestly couldn't tell who I was supposed to be at times. Just breaks interest and immersion with lack of identifiable POV.

Been following this game for a while now, maybe a few years even?

Decided to Patreon after the last release as I felt it was owed after deriving a lot of pleasure this whole time.

Game's story is very complicated and could possibly use a bit of a rewrite to enhance the clarity and it's only after a number of replays that I've gotten to the bottom of it. That's why minus a star.

Renders, especially later on, are really sexy and well posed. Great use of wet skin and scenes are plentiful. Wish there was a bit more weight to them in terms of consequence. It kind of goes from 0-100 in terms of "foreplay", but it's still very hot.

The character models are all extremely sexy, but kind of uniform. Wish there was a bit more variance there, but they're all attractive. Maybe too attractive!

Fun game. Decisions matter in terms of what you get to see.

After going through pages of reviews, and comments, I gave this a try...a real honest try and keep my dick in my pants as I really wanted to pay attention and read everything, to see what everyone is commenting on.

OK, so this is really confusing, extremely hard to follow, what actually the fuck is going on here. The Dev has some complex stuff going on, that I think he is pretty proud of ..cause he is twisted or something.

So, the graphics are fantastic..very nice, beautiful. Lots of content up to 0.11 ...like lots, so that is awesome. Sex scenes are pretty good, a little short for the most part, but some seem to be very well done, and some options.

Lots of timeshifting, dreams, fantasies, and other confusing shit going on, many others have commented on it, so I will not go into that. Many people wouldn't like this because it is really, really ...really fucking confusing. Add to it most of the characters...including the MC are not filled out with a proper story, background, ...reason to be there??

If I have ever seen a game, VN or whatever this is, worthy of rewriting the storyline...this is it. Graphics are great, even with the timeshifting, a rewrite would make this a gem. The Dev has a story he is trying to tell, he has the imagination and knows what he wants to do. Might be a crazy genius perhaps or just fucking with everyone. Now he needs a smart logical person to come in, get the whole story from him, and do a little "logical" rewrite to make it understandable for the common man...poof a great, excellent product.

I would say, give it a try if you are into being more than a little confused, like hot graphics, and some pretty damn nice milfs, demons, and ...cousins, roomies,...not sure. Fans of the Silmarillion or the Dune books, maybe the GOT books if you take pleasure in reading them out of order.

Dev, if reading, please do a little rewrite, heck, Ill volunteer for free, cause I think its a great story you are trying tell, just missing the target.

Unfortunately, I don't like the game either. The storyline is too confusing for me and sometimes a mess. The renders are well done, but the models are far too disproportionate. The models look like weightlifters, sorry Dev, but that's not nice to look at. A woman with such breasts could hardly walk, but whoever likes it. That's why I uninstalled the game after Chapter 3.

Cherry is officially one of my most favorite models of all time. Everything from her hair, to her face, to her complexion, and of course it goes without saying: her curves. Just wow.

Other models in the game are beautiful as well. I appreciate the time spent on that aspect.

Love the taboo elements, and the dialog is enticing. I'll lap up pretty much any future content from this creator.
