For a long time, SoC was not running at a budget where we could make CGs for all the scenes we made in a month. We have since then slowly decreased the back log, but not all scenes have CGs. It is also impossible for us to make CGs for events written that month because it takes all month to write so there is no time for art until the following month.

It's not an error. Every scene in the game is slated to get CGs.
I am unable to support anything on patreon, so pardon my impudence hehe. Have you guys considered or polled on patreon what release schedule they prefer?

I think your current system is probably the most efficient model to push the game forward at a good pace. The scope of this game is pretty huge after all. From a dev's perspective it makes great sense. From a player's perspective though... it's quite frustrating to play this game once you reach the end once. I don't know how others do it, but I dont normally have a very organized save for each scene. Especially with the RNG heavy way the scenes triggers, and most of them being one time things, its kind of hard to make saves to come back to each scene. If I go through a scene with no CG, thats pretty much it. That scene is wasted.

I had an amazing experience the very first time I played this game. But every update after, was mostly blank screen scenes which was pretty much eh.... Save compatibility broke once and I had to restart and got to see some new stuff. Then playing each update meant mostly blank screens again.

How would people respond to a two month dev cycle? In the worst case scenario, you waste a month waiting for the artists to finish the scenes. Best case, you come up with a new workflow that takes advantage of the extra month. Either way, the game would definitely progress a bit slower than whats going on now I guess, but each update would feel much more satisfying if the new scenes actually had CGs.

Maybe you just have the eye on the prize and want the most efficient way to the finish line. I guess thats a fine goal as any. This game would be amazing when its completed.

If I had to sum up 2.49 in one sentence:

Ok, I ended at week 21, and I don't know why.
I have to found a wlakthrough, that I can understand to continue in this game.
Very good game by the way.

There is the fertility path with Alexia ? Pregnancy ?

Polls of Patrons has uniformly revealed desire for the inclusion of new scenes even without CGs. Shifting to a 2 months dev cycle wouldn't solve that because the second month would also require writing done. It could maybe be sometimes imperfectly accomplished with a staggered release structure, but such a thing would be precarious and take a good deal of time to set up. It also ignores the possibility of the writing getting ahead again which is quite possible.

Ic. If patrons are fine with it, theres not much to be said about it.

I was thinking something like you spend 1 month writing all the scenes. Then you take the second month for coding and writing dialogue in between scenes while the artist draws stuff. Then I remembered that your team consists of several writers and I assume 1 coder. So some of the writers might be left with nothing to do on the second month unless they write more scenes which would again push the writing ahead of art. I just love this game but really feel bad when I pass a scene with no CG :(

Btw, do you have a roadmap for the game? About how far from completion are we currently?

See the first link in my signature. It’s not exactly a walkthrough, but it should get you past the threat of game over.

As for Alexia, impregnation content is planned, but hasn’t been implemented yet.

Thanks a lot. Is it possible to go to Rastedel ?
And how I can earn more money ? I don't have enough to buy the brothel...

Yeah. If the writers would just do something else during that time, it would be different. But, the writing staff is almost entirely narrative and design work.

My best recommendation is stagger time between play sessions. If you only play every three-four months, then you'd likely only get 1/4th as much scenes without art.

Yes we do have a roadmap. We're give or take 1/3rd done. But, it shouldn't take as long for the next third because the content per month is increasing.

You can go anywhere that’s currently in the game at any time, though places like Rastedel that only become particularly plot relevant after a certain point in the story may not have much for you to do if you go before then. You should also avoid the main orc camp in the northwest until after Week 22, as going there beforehand can cause a gamebreaking glitch.

As for money, I also wrote a rough guide to getting ahead early, which you’ll find in the second link in my signature. That guide sort of assumes you’re starting from scratch, but you should find it helpful even if you don’t want to completely start over.

Thanks for all your help...
One more question, sorry :(
How can I have the threesome with Greyhide and Alexia ? I already have the scene with Alexia and Greyhide in the tavern.

Mostly diebesgrab although if anyone else knows the answer, I'd be happy to hear it. How do you start the Fey events? They're the only ones I can't seem to trigger. Also does anyone have a list of scenes that have variations for low/medium corruption (I don't think there are high corruption scenes yet)? I've got Jax/Indarah (both scenes) and Drider/Alexia but that's it. I have a feeling I'm missing at least one more I've seen before but can't remember

I scarcely write a single conditional that doesn't include branches or minor line changes for low/medium/high corruption. Some have more extensive changes or make allowing certain segments easier to activate. I can't tell you off the top of my head how many full corruption locked scenes I've added yet.

I’m afraid I probably can’t help you, only the very first fey events had been added in the last version I played. If you’re just having trouble starting the arc though, those are random events from the world map—the wolfguy’s intro event is... I think you can find it in grassland tiles, and I believe the witch lady’s is in forest tiles. As usual with random events, the most efficient way to get them to trigger if you aren’t getting much luck (and don’t want to use dev mode) is just to savescum in the right areas.

I’m not positive about the tile types, though, so if somebody could confirm or deny, I’d appreciate it.

After reading through a couple pages of comments it seems like the predominant conversations are regarding three things:

1. How do I get to the 'good parts' of the game without playing the game
2. The classic and endless NTR debate
3. Release schedule/amount of content

Here's my take:
1. Well you could always play the game and actually read the text... That said, if the majority of people want to skip the gameplay maybe the gameplay could be made more fun? I'm not convinced it's the majority though, since the posters are the loudest voices, so there's a great deal of sample bias. But I'm trying to think of another game here with fun gameplay. They used to all be rpgmaker games, and I actually enjoyed Noxian nights, but I was just following a walkthrough to get all the scenes. They constant battles and grinding aren't really fun. Currently there are a lot of RenPy 'games' that are actually just visual novels with maybe a choice or two, but no real mechanics. SoC is unique in it's gameplay and mechanics, and I think they do work, and I really don't know how they could be 'spruced up' to be more engaging. You don't really have to grind (thank god), but you do have to accomplish certain goals. There can be a lot of time between scenes at times, and it would be great if every encounter had a CG or two with it as a little reward, especially ones that aren't dependent on getting the right dice rolls, but dependent on role-playing the character. And on that ridiculous run-on sentence, on to the next topic...

2. You could say all porn is ntr, unless you're watching your own sex tapes, it just doesn't rub it in. Now, writing that builds these characters and shows love and connection, then lust, corruption, and betrayal or corruption and sharing/slutification hit you a lot harder in the feels, but it's really a matter of perception and opinion. I personally love the Andras/Alexia storyline and the Greyhide/Alexia storylines. It's great seeing a path where Alexia is being corrupted externally, and Rowan is open to swinging and sharing. I hope there are more options eventually, like Rowan sharing Alexia around to gain power, or Rowan participating or being humiliated in a threesome with Andras and Alexia.

3. These devs release very high quality content consistently. I haven't seen another game with this level of polish, and they actually meet deadlines and have their shit together. Sure it's not perfect and there are scenes I don't really care about every month, but seeing as I don't have the time (or art skill, I mean my 5th grade teacher literally held up a picture I had turned in to the whole class and laughed at my best efforts) to develop my own game, or the wealth to personally fund the exact fetishes I want, I think I'll take what I can get. I think they're making something pretty novel and enjoyable, and their hard work shows.

Sorry, I'm both confused and there is a lot to unlock here. First, there are full corruption scenes? As opposed to high? Or do they mean the same thing? Also, what do you mean by "conditionals"? Let's say, for example, that you wrote the stores getting set on fire event or the orcs getting diseased event (which I seem to get every playthrough). So there would be small line changes or differences in outcome based off of Rowan's corruption? Because I haven't noticed them. Do all the writers do this? Or do you mean only for the requirements/writing for important events - I'm basically talking sex scenes here, but also apply for the big story events like Rastedel etc.

gameplay is definitely not a problem. Its super fun the first time. I don't think there is any other game in renpy that even comes close to having real gameplay like this. The exploration aspect is already great, but once they add battles and flesh out the skill/stats, it would be true masterpiece. Only for the first time though. It becomes a chore on the second playthrough though XD.
