You can't compare it to a fucking commercial video game made by Square Enix, that's absurd. And Seeds of Chaos is probably the best done fantasy 2D game there is around, period, though I don't really know that many.

That was most certainly not your point as it is completely incompatible with your point. FFXIII Versus was canceled and the remnants were turned into something else, which did not go through the same level of development hell that Versus did. You're using an example that is inherently different from Seeds of Chaos, made by a team of hundreds of people with experienced as opposed to a small handful people who quite honestly have no idea how to properly develop a video game. This is a patreon funded project and as a result is not something that can be compared to any kind of professionally developed and published project. Your example ignores the actual method in which the games are developed, how many people worked on them, the external forces they had to contend with, and many other elements of game development. Your point is without merit and quite frankly is moronic.

Do you want to illuminate to all of the game's fans how they shouldn't subscribe? Are you are upset about the main plot not progressing b/c you have no interest in the sub-plots which are foundational for making the story work over time? You want to question the skills or efforts of the dev team? Or do you just want to bitch?

Regardless of if we agree or not- I'm failing to see exactly what the point of your comments are- except to be an asshole to the good people developing the game.

The devs are very clear about what content they are working on, the releases are consistent. You get like 20-30 pieces of art and 50,000 - 100,000s of words of narrative to read every release assuming you are interested in the plots they are working on in the moment. People are free to decide how much that is worth to them and fund accordingly- its just like any other fiscal decisions about how to spend your assets- it is your choice. You can invest nothing. You can invest ONLY when the team is working on plots you like (like I do). Or any other of the myriad of financial options you have at your disposal.

Completed game. Fond memories of this one. First visual novel I’ve played in my life. Very traditional visual novel feel; just read texts and select the occasional choices. Option to date 5 girls, with bad ends for each but no harem ends. You basically play as a student who had to transfer schools. The girls you can date are each physically disabled, but the emphasis of the game is on their distinct characters and personalities that transcend those disabilities.

•Fruits of Grisaia

Completed game. Another classic visual novel, 50+ hours in content. Beware dark themes though, including parental abuse and cannibalism (no, these themes aren't there for some fetish, they're present because of the storyline. Also those scenes aren't sexy at all, they are made to make you genuinely sad).

About a student with a dark, cryptic past who attends a boarding school in rural Japan. Option to date 5 girls, no harem endings, ton of good writing. Has two sequels: Labyrinth of Grisaia (strangely enough, SFW but has non-canon bonus smut scenarios) and Eden of Grisaia (NSFW, you can finally bang multiple girls). Tons of spin-offs and spiritual sequels as well.

Since, people are on the topic of these long running games. I have always been curious. How much have you guys spent on this game? Have you been supporting from the start? Will you keep supporting for another 5 years or say enough is enough after a certain year limit?

Honestly, I don't care what people do with their money. It is theirs. I'm just curious how gamer's mindset works on these projects. Is there a certain point at which you start questioning you support if it takes too long?

what the frick happened in the year i haven't played... can't for the life of me find where the heck you put the button to put money in treasury, rowan is rich as ftick while the treasury is poor af and no fricking way to fix that. and according to all the information i have found through the search bar NOBODY ANSWERS THE MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION. WHAT HAPPENED TO "PUT MONEY IN TREASURY"

considering it's almost impossible for the treasury to actually get any money cuz by the time it finally has 150 or more to build something, the very next week it's gone

guess ill go to another game this week (cuz answers aren't likely to come apparently)
