Nope.is there a way to win yet? like kill the demon siblings. Is there a way?
You're about 16 years early.is there a way to win yet? like kill the demon siblings. Is there a way?
only 16, that seems a little wishful. You're about 16 years early.
This game has been "In Development" for such a long time that I haven't really bothered even with new content. I'm fairly certain at this point that I would very much prefer the Developer(s) to scrap this entire project and re-build it within a VN style RPGM engine, or just a straight-up VN in Unity(?) with various branched paths. I played around so much with how this current game engine works that it's just not consistent with what it is. You could rebuild the entire map from this games current engine into an RPGM map engine, and have events triggering in a similarly random way but the events would at least be more consistently triggered as opposed to somewhat randomized.only 16, that seems a little wishful.
I do hope it continues though there has been a lot added from when I first played.
It's been about 2 years since I played this game so perhaps you or someone here might be able to tell me, has there been any improvement really on stat growth? If I were the dev I would've scrapped that idea ages ago for this game and just make it a pure flat chance dice roll because spending time/ resources in growing Rowans stats/ skills seems like way too often are never enough to actually improve those dice rolls, it was always too confusing to understand how those dice rolls worked in conjunction with the stats, one would assume that by increasing Rowans stats would help with something but it was never clear on how those stats actually helped when you could just restart to before dice roll chances roll to unfavorable chances (like if the dice roll fails you could just scroll mouse wheel backwards/ save then redo the event over and over until you get the outcome you wanted, so the dice rolls and Rowans stats literally mean nothing). -- So has that issue been changed/ fixed by now or is it still roughly the same?
That kinda just reinforces my argument a little more. The Dev could literally just remove the stats and dice rolls from the game all-together and they wouldn't be missed if it was replaced with choices that decide a path or an event to trigger instead. Like if Rowan comes across a town burning the choices could be to ignore it, save it, or participate and conquer it, and base on which ever decision was chosen then (X, Y, or Z) happens down the line. For main story events it can follow a similar style but happening almost exclusively to decisions within the castle. If
When I think of RPG video games with dice rolling like Disco Elysium, Pathfinder WOTR, Baldur's Gate I think there's 2 differences that make the stat checks in this game slightly obtuse.
1. No clear percentage chances, there isn't great feedback on how stats improve rolls. I'm pretty sure its like the DE system where you roll a D6 and add your stat points to it, but there's no visual indicator, which makes it feel unrewarding on wins, and confusing on loses.
2. Lack of clear skill usage. In many RPGs, you can be pretty sure what stats you will need in a upcoming encounter before you take it on. Here though, there's hidden corruption stuff, railroaded story stuff, etc. that make it hard to know for sure you will need dice rolls to succeed. There's quite a few examples of Rowan smooth-talking his way out of problems, where no diplomacy checks are rolled for an instance, because that's just what the story requires.
I don't think it's feasible to start redoing all this when they're socle to finishing part one of the game. We can hope they'll make significant changes in part 2 regarding the gameplay. As the guy above said, the fact that we can make a lot of choices that should require a roll but none happens already show us that stats are not used correctly, they should remake it in the next part or remove it.That kinda just reinforces my argument a little more. I would've really loved it if the castle could be repaired over time instead of looking like a complete mess in ruins no matter how advanced in stages you are in the game. But, I suppose it is what it is, I guess the Dev has absolutely no plans on fixing or solving any of these issues. I'd really love it remade in an RPGM though honestly. It doesn't even need to have classic RPG elements like boring random battles, just a generic walk from A to B and events happen anywhere between then and now. That's just me though I guess.
This game has gone on for way too long to say it's "close" to finishing "part 1". It needed a remake like 4 years ago in a complete overhaul of everything, including design & direction. It was "close" to being completed years ago, now it's "part 1" is close to completion. If I had stayed subscribed back then the Dev probably would have so much money not just from me but everyone else, but from me especially it probably could've been at least two of my annual tax returns at most by now.I don't think it's feasible to start redoing all this when they're socle to finishing part one of the game. Remaking something is not really the best choice, it can actually kill the game. The game is far from being unplayable rn so it's best to finish this part (maybe they should have separated part 1 into two games just to implement changes in a "new game" years ago), and I do believe that we're finally getting close to the end. This game has gone on for way too long to say it's "close" to finishing "part 1". The game has been dragged on for too long. Scrap it, and remake it for the consistency in future game designs. This "Part 1" could be completed in roughly the same amount of time as it's currently going if not faster than at this pace provided that the Dev just updates the few changes that this game has already demonstrably proven to have not work in its current state as near unplayable if it wasn't for being heavily Story & VN focused. The gameplay itself would've killed this game years ago if it wasn't for that.
I have to disagree slightly. What kills a game is stagnation. This game has been so long on-going that it's still under 0.5v finished which is usually an indicator of a "half way marker" of sorts for a games completion to hit v1.0 as a milestone. Not every game of course, I've seen plenty of titles that shoot my argument down with relative ease, but generally speaking for the purpose of being relative to what I'm saying.Remaking something is not really the best choice, it can actually kill the game. The fanbase already voiced their opinion on how janky the whole gameplay is so it will probably be adressed, just not in this part. I think this game is going to be oe of those that go from V0.5 straight to V1. If we go by the "how close the twins are to dominate the world or Rowan to beat them" we clearly have a long way to go, but that is if they want all that to be in part 1 which I doubt, they will either stop after enough progress in the story (where we are rn regarding the main plot) and continue it later, or maybe they will take a completely different take on this world current war with a new MC. I just wish they could update it faster without cutting ideas or rushing it, the whole story will probably take at least a decade to complete (different MCs might help to feel like different games instead of one really long one)I have to disagree slightly. I don't see this game reaching this "Part 1" completion anytime soon within the next 10+ years going at this pace. Which typically isn't always a good thing for most games, even worse for porn games. Not comparing but a contrasting example Triple A Title MMORPG games for example, they run for a long time but because most of them never see an end or completion, even with expansions, they tend to die out in the middle without something to stimulate bringing life back to the game. One of those ways can be either a remake or a reboot with the updated and improved skills & policies from past mistakes or design directions being improved for the better, you get to see the game looking good from beginning to its eventual end because the Dev can show off.
A game like this as long-going as it is, you see improvements over time and you get some appreciation for the amount of time and effort they spent on working on it. But older fans likely won't see it because they'll feel like they've already seen most of its contents and think that the majority of these updates are just to try and milk money out of consumers as much as they can, so that can turn away older fans who used to support the works away. So something new might get their interest and see that the Dev is actually working on a project that offers more promise.
But in the end my opinion doesn't really matter, and it shouldn't matter either. My only hope is that game developers create games that they can feel proud of and fans can appreciate it.
I sided with Jacques this time. Delane showed up but only in one scene. Then there was Jacques friend Liliana and an invitation to visit either of them in the copper club for some quality time, but I was never allowed to afterwards. Why? And still have the same question re: Maud as the same result happened.Well I took the city, and like Rowan I'm not too please how it turned out lol. Went with the first choice of taking it for the twins cause the second option said coming soon and sabotaging it seemed like it wouldn't end well for Rowan. Sided with Patricia and Maud.
Where was Delane? I was told she had a part in the Rastedel finale if you sent her there but I saw zero of her.
Also, is there a way to control all of the city before the twins arrive rather than half, and is there a way to stay on Maud from hating you afterwards? Or are those fixed events on that route? I even tried sending some soldiers to her area to help, but it made no difference I guess.
I visited it for the time before I rescued her unfortunately. So the only time I saw her there was during the finale. But after I rescued her, I did try the noble location several times, nothing happened.Delane should appear if you visit Rastedel for the first time after you rescued her. After that hang around the nobles so that you can choose to fuck her. Then, hang around the nobles again slightly later for the second potential fuck. Don't know when they exactly trigger, just spam the noble location when you are busy in Rastedel.
Act 1 is pretty much complete, the goal I think was the end of this year. There is only a part of the epilogue left to be written and apart from that there is a handful pieces of missing artwork that need to be/could be dropped in. I believe any other story development/tweaking work has now been halted and some of the developers are making a start on Act 2 and the first previews.I don't see this game reaching this "Part 1" completion anytime soon within the next 10+ years going at this pace.
