One girl at one playthrough?
Oh sorry, guess I misunderstood your question. Haven't actually played this since update 4 or so, so I'm not up to date on the current possible co-existing paths, just keeping an eye on the game thread sporadically.

Several paths have side girl content as stated in the post above, and some of those side girls are only available through a certain main girl's path. The multi-mod also allows to ignore some branching / see multiple paths, but it seems like that may be working ever worse in the future and might be removed sooner or later.

Someone more qualified will have a more adequate answer for you hopefully.

Yes, u can pursue 1 main girl per playthrough.

From what I remember, - branching starts right from the beginning. For example, if you choose to go to the medbay, you can pursue Layla (the doctor) - but that locks you out of Zoe’s route. Similarly, if you take Amelia’s side during her argument with Karaline, you’re out of Karaline’s route but on track for Amelia’s.
Though there are also a few throuple routes (main girl + side girl). If you're on Zoe’s path, her mother Cora can join in (mother/daughter throuple). On Layla’s route, you can bring in Lexi. I’m not sure about the third one - probably it’s Celeste and Ava.

I had not also played from Update4.
But seems like one main girl at one playthrough.

Some news on that:
Q:"Sacred sage when will be your next update of the Selara?"

"Sorry for the late response. Probably not for a while. Real job busy. Plus censorship of NSFW stuff. On top of creating a 3D game and streaming. I still work on it weekly but not much. It will eventually be posted and I know this is not the reply you were hoping for." :(

This is from end of July, 2025.

The game seems a little buggy right now. Too bad, because I love the way it started. If you click on the globe in the corner before talking to people in the rooms, the game doesn't let you go back to seeing people in the rooms. It just stays there. Globe selectable in the top right, and nothing else you can do.

Save attached for an example.
