Feel you, the game never had incest tags anyway so it's weird to assume either of them would be LIs but I can see I guess why people would just from the premise. That's what I was trying to say.

In hindsight, maybe it wasn't a good idea. On the other hand, Serenity isn't meant to be like all the other VN's out there. There are so many different views on how a VN should flow it's crazy hard to make sure you do something most people like without losing sight of what you really want to write. And I know where I am going with the story already. I made the mistake in the very beginning of trying to please certain people (here) but I'll never do that again. I was noob, what can I say? But it's been a year now and I've come to understand the ebb and flow of these things. I know the kind of VNs I enjoy and so I just do what I do and now just hope most of you enjoy where I go with it
On the 'tease' scene itself though... I do like that inner struggle, even if nothing comes of it. I like it from a 'story' perspective. It's more realistic to me (in a game with all this magic and everything, that sounds ridiculous, I know). People gripe because if the character isn't an LI, they shouldn't even be there. How do you write a story that is interesting if every character is an LI? If I followed that, I may as well go the way of 80% of the games out there now. And I went into this not wanting to follow that same path. I wanted Serenity to be different... and it is - at least according to most. That latest 2-star review I got though, that person might disagree with everything I am saying here, LOL.

that as people can tell .. alot of people get carried away with ascribing real life with fantasy ... like they can't tell the difference .. pretty sad really ... i for one love this game ... you amaze me with the plot turns and story line ... renders still make me go WOW .... what program do you use anyways ?btw i couldn't agree more with your statement : I think a dev should follow their heart and make the story they want. My 5 cents (adjusted due to inflation) is that it was a good idea. What initially drew me to this was that it didn't look/sound like a cc of 1,000's of other games/vn's/kn's that were already here. Does it suck that we are not getting the mom/sis (especially the sis, she is hot as hell)? M'eh, not really. I can understand why it would annoy some people but I personally find that having someone(s) around that you are not going to get adds that touch of realism that I like in stories, regardless of how 'impossible in rl' a story might be. *if* this was tagged 'cest, and I couldn't have them, then I might be upset.....then again, I might not be. It would completely depend on the story. I guess since it was never tagged as such, I just never expected them. /shrug
Dev's should always follow their heart, and create the content that they enjoy making. Imo; that is the difference between a good dev that I look forward to seeing content from, and a mediocre one whose stuff I might get around to when I am bored.
Keep doing what you are doing, creating what you want to create, and thanks for the update!
p.s. I am going to +1 the Steam idea (if it is/becomes financially feasible).

I agree with the others, tune out the keyboard cowboys and write what makes you happy. The story will be better for it in the end. If this uses Honey Select graphics, as it appears to do, it can't be on Steam for copyright reasons.
Also a firm believer of, if there are hot family members in an AVN, MC should be able to bone them.
I could easily be wrong here, but from what I remember reading, Killer7 caved to the demand that Little Alice (still 18+) be lewdable to MC (one of 3 sisters to MC) in My New Family. Originally he was going to make Alice and MC platonic. Now that he gave in to the screamers, he's gotten people all in a tizzy over the youngest sister (still 18+) in My New Memories. Once you open the door, it's hard to close it. Stick to your guns N2!!

This is your baby dev, you do what you want to do. At the end of the day you need to enjoy what you are doing, if you don't enjoy making your game you get burnt out and that's the last thing anyone wants.
Not everyone likes every kink and you got lucky in that quite a few people here are either bored of the vast amount of incest games and want something different or there is a group that doesn't like incest at all so you'll always have a player base.
Enough people enjoy what you do and you'll never be able to please everyone. There was a time when devs would alter their content if enough people got on the devs case but less and less devs are doing that with more sticking to their guns and making the game they set out to make.
I fully support that because i've seen enough devs trying to cater to the vocal crowd and end up hating their own game when it stopped being what they wanted to make and they lost the passion for creating. Those games got abandoned and everyone lost out.
This is your game and only you get to decide what you add to it.

I'm not sure what could be causing that. Hopefully someone here more knowledgeable than me on androids can help with this. I don't have an android... I run the android build after I run the PC and Mac builds and just pray it succeeds. I do know that it IS WORKING for many out there who are playing it on android.
While I do get what you're saying and I also agree, it would be weird not to romance Alice considering the guy fucks every family member. Its just strange if you leave 1 out you know what I mean. I just wanted to say thanks so very much for the update. I put off playing it, but man it was worth the wait. Such an excellent game. Technically proficient. Very attractive females, with a variety of personalities some of which really draw me in. A pretty complex storyline that you've managed to keep consistent as it unfolds. Just a fantastic result. Thank you for all your hard work, really appreciated. While it seems that things are moving to a conclusion and I dread the ending of this VN, I have to admit I look forward to the next update.

If you're an android user and you're having issues running the 1.2 APK due to its size, I've managed to shrink it down some using cruncher and then rebuilding it. It is still above 1gb so I cannot guarantee this will work for those who couldn't get it to work before. And if it doesn't, this may be the last time I try to build the android version (for this build of Serenity anyway). Sorry, but this is exactly why I never really wanted to try to make an android version. I don't own an android and I don't know enough about it to support you guys when you come to me with issues.
Anyway, with that said... give this a try and let me know if this works better than the previous upload.
Please remember to COPY the entire line and paste it... just tapping/clicking that link doesn't always get the entire URL (due to the pound sign the 'Mega' geniuses decided to put in there). If this works for those who couldn't get it to work before, then I'll continue to build the android version and 'crunch' them the same way until it just doesn't get small enough anymore. There are still a few updates left to go before this part of Serenity is complete. (Yes, there will be a new build as Serenity will continue under a new build with 'episodes' added for each update).
