The answer is simpler... lack of creativity and improvisation. :ROFLMAO:
Not necessarily, the user you are replying to is demanding answers for questions that have already been answered including Melvin cucking the main protagonist. The rest of the answers your friend is demanding seem to prepped to have more depth.

To clarify it is as if your friend is demanding to obtain all the answers of a serialized television series within the first season.

Personally I see no tech here, just the explanation of some new workflow and a new porn category, Environment porn.
Tech demos used to be these promising and flashy features the devs would show to the world about stuff that would never be implemented in the current or next generation.
Now tech demos are devs telling some onanists on the internet "there is some stuff implemented there that you will never notice cause looks the same and doesnt seem to offer a significant benefit for you, but it is awesome, TRUST ME BRO".
How far we have fallen
So... the fact that there are New features in the game doesnt make it a tech demo??
And where have you seen flashy features that never be implemented in the current or nex generation?
Are you a troll?

Any way, i have been thinking, the Phone can be use for NTR too you know, imagine Alexa sending a video of her fucking with Emily in her room...

Interesting idea.

As far as these games go, where the player is navigating a series of choices to unlock sex scenes, I've always thought they absolutely need some kind of guide to help the player with direction. Nobody wants to randomly navigate the choices hoping they get lucky. I've seen other games use phones to offer such guidance quite well.

However, introducing a phone for the sake of receiving texts and photos from the girls . . . I'm not so sure how much that'll add. I guess texting would add some layer of new intimacy, and the MC could be teased and taunted a bit via the texts and private conversations, but I'd think sexual tension from real world events would remain much more powerful. For example, would your NTR scene with Alexa and Emily be hotter if it was sent via phone or if the MC just went to Emily's room and spectated it? Hard to tell, I think.

However, your idea is an interesting one and gave me another one. Obviously, Sexbot is a time travelling story that loops back in on itself and presents multiple branching timelines. What if the phone became an important tool in navigating his time jumps and these branching timelines? What if the phone could be used to do something as wild as, I don't know, "calculate likely outcomes"?

For example, the phone could be used to present unique scenes as warnings. For example, the MC could be doing something, convinced he's making the right choices, thinking he's got all the variables under control, only for his phone to go berserk and present some sort of NTR scene or whatever, like the scene you describe.

Or, at other times, the phone could be used to present scenes that if they played out in the main story, they would break believability, canon, etc., in some way. In other words, the phone could present fun or hot little side stories from branching timelines, just for fun.

Sexbot obviously already has side stories, especially in the Halloween and Christmas specials, but the phone could be used as the main tool to explore even other wilder side stories resulting from all the chaotic time travelling.

Or the phone could even be a fundamental tool in furthering the plot. For example, the MC uses the phone to calculate eventualities but only sees these futures that go to shit, all his love interests out of reach. So he takes step to avoid those futures, only eventually realizing that in his efforts to prevent those unwanted futures, he brings them about.

In essence, the phone could be used to present scenes/content outside the immediate reach of the story's world, thereby opening the door for Llama to present all sorts of content. As I've mentioned elsewhere, the stories in these games somewhat dictate what sort of content/scenes can be presented, but the phone could be used as a loophole around this fact.

Those are some interesting ideas. Maybe we'll see what the future has in store. Llama always has something cooking so who knows.

I've never had a problem navigating this game. So naturally it confuses me when people say it is.
I found out early on , you choose one girl and you work on her until the end of the loop. With a combination of using the Gallery hints, changelog and spreadsheet guide its really easy. As well as using the skip function to haze over old scenes or not if you want to revist them. I'm especially fond of the breakfast and cleaning scenes in part one.

I think some people are just trying to do it all in one shot and end up chasing their tails.

Yeah, I had a fairly easy time navigating the first game, especially toward the end, when Llama made a ton of menu changes. Which is why I was somewhat surprised he worked so hard to revamp all the menu stuff this time around. I kind of have a "if it's not overly broke, don't fix it" sort of mentality over tech updates.

That being said, I'd much rather a dev err on the side of perfectionism with tech updates and menu design, as long as they don't take forever, which Llama certainly did not. (I've seen devs embark on tech updates that take nearly a year and seem to do nothing.) And these kind of games suffer sooooo much if they lack a solid guide and gallery of achievable scenes for any update. I've started in on some grindy games but then stopped, thinking something like "I have no idea whether I'm gonna actually unlock any scenes." Kind of a shame too, cause the games were interesting and the characters hot.

If I recall correctly he stated in the discord he was still learning coding on phase 1 and phase 2 he's basically perfecting his skill trying to make it more stable and easier to update. The phone and everything seemed more like extras to help people navigate the game.

Yeah, that's awesome if he's made the game more stable and easier to update on his end. Obviously, players would get more updates faster or perhaps with way more content than usual, and Llama will likely save himself many a headache and much stress. But there's a third key positive outcome: I think faster and cleaner updates are integral to recruiting supporters via Patreon or Subscribestar. Llama is well off, but if he were to blow up even more, like to NLT Media status, he could potentially recruit other programmers and speed up production times even more and maybe even find the time to update the graphics side of things.

I've always thought that producing solid updates consistently is the main way of building trust with potential customers. It becomes obvious the dev is working hard on his or her game. Llama already excels at this: his updates usually strike a good balance between production times and amount of content. (Some devs produce super fast updates with like no content; some devs produce a lot of content but take forever to do so.) If this new tech foundation helps him even more in terms of production times, he'll likely become even more popular.

What's more, frequent updates certainly help when attention spans are so short. Someone can post a game on F95zone, and a few days later it'll be buried deep in F95zone's latest update page, by the bazillion other crappy games flooding the site.

i'm not Llama, but going by what we've seen here in Phase 2, that's looking very likely.....

You are clearly not a Llama lol.

I think you are probably right, but I really would like to see a route where Lexx swipes the MC out from under everyone. Maybe have the same obedient, independent mechanic as Alexa, just played out differently. Independent Alexa was a dominatrix, maybe Lexx could be aggressively loving in a complete flip of how she was with Melvin?
