Agreed-it's cool especially because normally i see sequels go the opposite direection; they get more tame and watered down for the masses and cut out the more radical elements.
I guess I might be the opposite. I'm more simple: I don't like super crazy kinky stuff; I'm more into straightforward tension between characters, the building up of walls, and then the breaking of those walls. I most enjoy these games when I'm presented with characters I want but can't have at first and then, through gameplay, eventually get those girls. And Llama did a good job of presenting several female characters with different attractive personalities to break through.
I get the whole thing with kinks and respect it, but I'd push back a little against adding kinks for the sake of kinks. Kinks are fine, but I would only hope the dev doesn't become lazy in adding them, in the sense of just adding crazier and crazier kinks to create tension, rather than utilize narrative tension and the story's world.
I actually thought Sexbot I would fail horribly when I played the first parts, where all the scenes were super weird shit. Not my cup of tea. It was all kinky stuff with little character setup to provide sexual tension.
But don't get me wrong--variety is always a good thing. And I think that's where the Sexbot games separate themselves from most other games in this industry. But I don't think it's just that he has a lot of kinky stuff; rather, he does a great job utilizing the games story world to create wild and wacky scenes.
The best example I can think of right now is in Sexbot I, the scene where the MC and Alexa get attacked by that army. They have to have sex to power Alexa or the weapons or something. I thought the scene was hilarious but also pretty hot, just because of Alexa in her tight cyberpunk outfit. I can't think of any other games' story worlds that could accommodate such a wild scene.
That's the kind of stuff I'd want to see more of; they are the scenes that give Sexbot its unique charm. Sure, add fetishes, but I'd say hopefully the dev would tailor those kinks and make them unique by utilizing the story world. Whether the dev follows a more vanilla route or a kink-focused route, either path would likely grow stale when the story world stopped influencing the scenes.
