I'm posting a new version of SR24; 0.11.3. It includes some improvements to the quest introduced in the last version that are not critical but make it a little better. There are also a number of QOL improvements, again not critical but they make the game a little bit better. To find out what's included you can read the change log. As always, versions for all platforms, the information files, and the source code are in my signature. Since this version has no new content it will not appear on the 'Latest Updates' page. Cheers!

I don't know if anyone likes to start a new game when playing SR24 but if you do I could use some help evaluating a new feature in the next release. There will be 2 new personal reputations and for the first time your personal reputations will have some effect on game play (previously they were only 'flavor'). Increasing your personal reputations; Mechanic, Hacker, Bot Trainer, CombatBot Trainer, SexBot Trainer, Bot Dealer (new), and TechBot Trainer (new) will increase the amount of money you receive when selling bots on BBS offers, at Robosechs, after UFC Fights, and at the Flea Market. This new feature does not require you to start a new game but I would like to find out if personal reputations are gained "too slowly", "too quickly" or "just right" when starting a new game. I will be testing this myself but only one person testing isn't ideal, especially when that person knows too much about how the game works. If anyone is interested in starting a new game and keeping track of personal reputations as they play periodically I'll post a "beta" version of the next release in a few days. It's not quite ready yet, I need to play myself for a while to make sure there are no crashes and that the new content is all working as intended.

As an inducement, there is an additional new feature in the next version you may like. A new role called 'Bot Trainer' that enables your best bots to train other bots in Combat, Sex, Electronics, or Mechanics by themselves. The role is similar to the 'Master Techie' and 'Senior Techie' roles except that it's for training bots instead of fixing things. I should also mention that there will be no progress in the story line this time.

I don't play every release. Every few months, I drop in here, download the latest version, start a new game, play obsessively for a week then drop it. I also use a lot of mods which I'm sure will affect the results. I miss vanilla though. Is difficulty going to factor reputation gain? I don't play highest difficulty, sorry. If not, I will be waiting for that beta.

The reputations are not linked to the difficulty setting and I have no problem with people using mods in testing. I never use mods so learning if there are issues would actually be helpful. I have enough trouble getting through testing without mods, I can't afford to add more variables. :)

Another update on the beta version: I'm sorry but there's another delay. Even after filling in the gaps the reputation increases are still much too slow and I have to adjust all of the numbers. If I posted the current build I would be wasting your time. This turned out to be harder than I thought it would be. I modeled the new reputations after the two that Radnor had in DSCS; Mechanic and Hacker. These two reputations increase very slowly during play but since they didn't actually do anything it didn't matter. Now that reputations will do something they have to increase fast enough to have some effect before the game is over!

If I ever ask for help like this again I won't say anything about it until I know a build is ready to be posted. My bad.

I'm kinda willing to do a new player experience run, my data was wiped with OS Reinstall either way. I'll wait for a ready release then, although you might need to DM me since I might not be keeping a close eye on this game.

New version of SR24: 0.12.5 Back on May 13th I solicited help play testing a beta version of this release but I decided not to do this. For the last 10 days I've gone through 5 builds playing the game and tweaking the settings in the new features involving the MC's personal reputations. I believe they work well but I am curious what other players will experience. If anyone starts a new game with version 0.12.5 it would be interesting to know what the MC's reputations are when they complete the initial 'Framed!' quest AND the difficulty setting used. I'd appreciate anyone posting this information but of course there's no obligation.

The new version should appear in 'Latest Updates' soon. The section of the change log specific for version 0.12.5 is here:

Late to the show but man this game like literally the soon future, ironically I find that interesting. I am waiting for the "sex bot manager simulator" on steam one day, provided Gabe does not pass away and steam is not ruined by then from the corrupt mods.

It's kind of ironic, 2 games with Sexbot in the title were updated within a couple hours of each other, lol.

First time I'm really stumped into how to play the game. The bot trainer is not easy to figure out, and I can't be bother after having a good go.

Everyone has their own play style. I'm more of a hands on micromanager type myself, so don't actually use the bots for much more than bedroom toy and basic repair, but guess it is nice to have the option.

It's unintuitive, you can't just click from bot to bot. You have to close it out and select another bot. The training is fairly simple, but it's based on you. So if your sex score is a D you can only train to a D. It's best to go out and hang out in the bar to get social up. Tinker or work to get your electronics mechanics skills up.
Dumb is still the mob crap. You have to have a bot that is good or your locked in a game over loop.

For new players; please play in easy mode! Without experience playing this game it's hard. Many people have been playing SR24 and it's predecessor DSCS for years now and the game tries to accommodate both them and new players. In easy mode you will have time to experiment with all the possible actions to figure out your own play style. For veterans familiar with everything they need the hard and hardcore modes to keep them on their toes! Do NOT try to pay off your debt quickly, establish your business first. This is not a fast game, developing strategies takes time and unfortunately some grind. It is a niche game, if you enjoy it that's great but if it's not your thing there are lots of great games out there. Cheers!

Is there a plan to add MC customization with robotic implants (unlockable with gameplay) or alternate gender/sex at creation ?

Sorry, the MC will remain the same throughout the game. Nice ideas but not where I will go with this game.
