From your last line it sounds like you are already on Discord. Can you access other channels, is it only this one you're having trouble with? How many channels are you connected too? There is a limit, I think it's 100.
I'm connected to 22, like i said discord hates me. it's not important, so long as you don't mind the ramblings of an old man on here

Sorry about Discord being a pain, here is as good a place as any so ramble on! This appears to be a game for old men, I'm on the right side of 70 myself but not by much. ;)

I wish we could schedule a bot to a mission for a different part of the day. Maybe that could be done with roles, like having a Public Toy role for the Whore mission and Giggolo Mission, and the Scavenger role for going on a Scavenge mission. And I wish we could change the scroll speed, in the settings. I need to scroll A LOT for only 2 or 3 lines of text or one more image.

Quick Start Guide
: (Read everything once first, before you start applying things.)

1. Get a bot and repair the bot then set it's Role as a Housekeeper. Thant gives +1 energy over the normal limit.
2. Work out twice a day, and in time you will have more energy.
3. At night, you can send your bots to make money as a Whole or Gigolo. To do that, go to Monitor, click on a bot, Missions, then Whole or Gigolo.
4. Get another bot and make it a Senior Techie and Master Techie. (Or have the first bot ge the two roles and have anotehr bot become the Housekeeper). And have the Housekeeper bot also become a Mater Techie, so the two bots can repair eachother.
5. If you want a third bot, make one if it's rones be Senior Techie to repair parts, and the other role Clerk before you level it up to Shopkeeper if you want to sell parts in the shop. They can also sell F-rank parts, if I remember well.
6. Have the most skilled bot (at least in one field, ideally in all fields) be the Bot Trainer, so you don't have to manually train other bots as much.
7. With the first two bots, repairing eachother, one repairing parts and the other housekeeping to give you extra energy, and with two workout sessions per day, you can focus on going to getting new parts.
8. To get new parts, Leave Home, District TX-13, Dump Site, then repeatedly Scavange until you run out of AP, then Home. You can even get Elite parts, which means S rank and A rank.
9. To sell the new parts for good money, NetConsole, Grey Market BBS, Trade Offers, then check each trade offer, then after trading what you want, Log Out, then Sleep.
10. Each trade request has two parts below the text description showing what type of part they want and why. The left half of the screen has the Requests from you, and the right side of the screen has the Rewards for you. Below them, if they want a part from you, you will see the list of parts which match the request, if you have any. And in the options, you will see the parts to trade, and if the reward includes money, you will see the price you are going to be paid, which starts with a + sign. (Example: +$2000) If it starts without a +, then you are going to pay that price for the part someone sells. (Example: $2000)
11. If you have lots of parts but not many to sell, you need to repair them. You cannot sell F-rank parts for much, and many buyers on the NetConsole won't buy F-rank parts, so you can sell them normally, from your inventory, if you don't want them to fill your inventory. To sell, go to Workshop, Inventory, Sell Items, F-rank items are still useful for repairing new bots, until you get enough good parts.
12. To keep the bots working and not creating more problems, you need to go to Workshop, then Stabilize Bots to keep them sane (so they don't make problems or do nothing instead of helping) and Tinker Bots to keep the bots repaired. And to repair the parts you have, you need to Workshop, then Tinker.
13. Install a bot monitor for every single bot you have, from Workshop, Capsules, Monior.
14. To have the bots become unstalbe slower (so you have to Stabilize Bots less frequently), you need to Workshop, Capsules, Upgrade AI.
15. If you do a lot of Scavanging, you need to increase your storage to have more bots in storage, your capsules to have more capsules for bots in use, and the power to be able to have more capsules.
16. If you don't have enough money, you can also do Work, but make sure you use up the energy until you have exactly 3 energy available, because working uses all the remaining energy for that part of the day.
17. Pay most of the debt sooner rather than later, but don't pay all of it before you have a large sum of money and a lot of high-leveled bots ready to use (even if most of them are in storage). When you are done paying the debt to the Mafia, the story will progress to another part with some new challenges. But you can keep the debt to something like $20,000, and the interest to pay would be $20 or around that much, so it would not be an issue.
18. Every once in a while, make sure you socialize with people, and to do that Leave Home, Neighborhood, and for each of the options, go and Stay Longer until they are no longer happy to see you, and when that happens, go back once (using the Back button from top-right, or pressing Shift+B on the keyboard), and go to the Neighbourhood and to a different place. When you have no more energy, just go home. Socializing can also unlock new parts of the story, which can give you benefits, like training the combat of one of your bots.

That's the strategy I found to work decently well, for now.

I've updated my Super Mario Princesses mod from DSCS, adding more animations and replacing somer lower quality ones. And I added parts for implants and ears, which might make these versions incompatible with saves that have the old versions.
I've also added Pauline which is why it's now called Super Mario Girls.
Screenshots? I'm asking for a friend :sneaky:

Def agree on being able to send bots on missions for other parts of the day...though I think that what missions are available also depends on the day of the week.

Personally, I do Work at 4 energy available since you (apparently) get a bonus to your income from having extra energy, though I don't know the formulas.

Interesting comments about strategies and missions, lots of good advice for players learning the game.

Sorry, scrolling uses the Renpy functionality and I have no idea how to adjust anything about it.

All missions except scavenge are time dependant and ufc fights are day of week dependant. Sorry but I have no plan to change this. To get the best use from your bots you can use the bot manager role.

Cheers!

Thanks for making the code available.

Minor bug report:
senior_tech.rpy line 140-141:

Python:
$st_chance=randint(1,100)
if (assistant.autonomy.level==5 and st_chance>50) or (assistant.autonomy.level==6 and st_chance>75) or assistant.autonomy.level==7:  ## Autonomy: B 50%, A 75%, S always
I think the >75 should be >25 (thus giving a 75% chance of action instead of 25% as it is written)

similar error in
master_tech.rpy line 142

Thank you and you are absolutely correct. Higher autonomy should increase chances not decrease them! I suspect I was thinking "less than" but typed "greater than". This will be fixed in the next version.

I understand about disk space but fyi DSCS is much, much smaller than SR24 because it's text based except for the bot images. Unfortunately bot mods can take up a lot of space in both games. When I started playing on my Android tablet I had to prune the videos out of all bot mods and even some of the larger images if people don't use compression. (Images in SR24 are compressed about 4-fold in size using ImageMagick.) It's easy if you just sort the mod's assets folder by size and prune starting with the largest files. Leave at least 1 sex and 1 bj image or you'll get the missing image message while playing.

Funny you still think Mob Protection quest is so bad. Is it the idea of giving things away to the mob or just how long it takes? If you've been working out to increase your AP it's not that hard to restore 1 extra bot a week so I don't think the 'game over' threat is a big deal. (It used to be a big deal before I added the "Check Bot" buttons ;).) When I have to test versions and play through the game I think restoring bots for the Good Neighbor quest is more tedious.

Regarding playing through each new version you're safe if you save a game right after Mob Protection ends. The only thing that might get messed up is your reputations involving bots because I tweak the values occasionally trying to balance them so you will end the game with a reasonable chance to be above C level in all of them. Relationships with the two NPCs have barely started at that point so you won't miss anything there. The expertise with bots and parts is hopeless and I'll never use it for anything. It depends too much on how many bots and parts are in the game and whether or not you play favorites with your bots and parts. They are a nice detail Radnor put into the game though.

Cheers!
So expertise does nothing?

I believe you are asking about the MC's expertise on the bot models and parts in the game that's shown on one of the pages in the 'Status' screen. If you mean something else please give me more information.

The MC's expertise on the bot models and parts in the game increases the effectiveness when the MC tinkers with bots to fix parts (defects) and repair parts (integrity). Greater expertise will result in more defect/damage repaired each time. There are other factors that also influence tinkering so this effect may not be noticed. The MC's skill levels and assigning bots as techies or shopkeepers also influence the effectiveness of tinkering with bots.

In DSCS Radnor always included randomizers for each action in the game so you cannot easily determine the effect of different parameters. You must perform the same action many times and observe trends because the result of an action is different every time it is performed. This is not changed in SR24 because I believe it makes the game more interesting.
