We call these things visual novels or VN for short. Typically, you can name the main character or MC for short. This one allows you to name the MC, his "caretaker" and the other girl who lives in the house with the MC. They can be related or not, depending on what you choose. You then click through the visual novel to see several scenes which happen to the MC until you reach the end. Some of those scenes involve animations. Some of those scenes are branched, meaning there are several different options to take in one "playthrough." Meaning you'll need to do another playthrough or save the "game" at these branches to see all of them.
