I'm firmly middle ground. It doesn't really do anything for me as a kink, and if that's all the story is about I'm not interested; but I am able to mentally distinguish between myself and the MC so that it doesn't offend me, and a hot sex scene is a hot sex scene even if it doesn't involve a particular character.
