apparently the console is activated by default in newer renpy versions, older versions you need to activate it

:
  1. Enable console commands by editing the game folder -> renpy -> common -> 00console.rpy file and changing config.console = False to config.console = True. Save the file.
  2. Press Shift + O in game to open the console command prompt.
  3. Enter commands to get or set variables, such as zodiac_coins = X or relationship = X.
  4. Enjoy the game.

Really i hope the dev can go fuck themselves im not going to your shitty patreon just to go get old build so i can "fix" my old saves im also not gonna play every damn build i have a goddamn life i also like that my old save doesn't actually get broken the dev literally just says nah dude skip the content you actually want to play.

You can skip it, PC by using the TAB key and on Android by gesture.

that is really annoying. I don't have the time to replay the whole thing.
devs should really pay more attention to not breaking saves on update

I was just about to point out that having an unskippable intro on every start-up whose flashiness might trigger a seizure in someone who doesn't even have epilepsy is a massive problem, and basically had me yeet the game before I even started it for the first time, then I read your helpful hint.

I'll say thank you, much appreciated - and the devs owe you one.

You don't have too, there is an option to start right from the new update. You loose all skill upgrades which is annoying but they are not really needed.
