I cut the random characters from the rar files...

Did you only cut the random parts and left the rest as is?
The three files need to have the same names and all have to end with .partX.rar where the X is their order number. Does it still fail after that?

Winrar worked for me perfectly with no editing of anything.
Download all three parts to same folder,
open the first one and extract.
it says you need to find xxxx, hit browse, select the second file, hit okay
it will then say you need xxx, hit browse, select the third file, hit okay,
then just works.

ok it was kinda odd..... i tried to unzip the files as is using 7-zip and i got a error with the game being unable to load.....
i removed the funky gibberish at the end and tried again no errors and it worked

The archives worked fine, you just had to rename them to end with .part1.rar, part2.rar and part3.rar. No idea why they were named this way.
I have uploaded a fixed .7z file instead
