Progress Report: 19/12 - 25
Hello everyone and welcome to the last progress report of the year!
EDI's comic has reached page 93, which is a good step beyond the midpoint. Section 2 of the main section (again, it'll make sense later) is coming along nicely, and I'm happy with how it's shaping up, so I hope you'll enjoy it when it finally lands either January or February.
Lulu's most recent experimental animation (

) has had angle 2 added. Cycles remains somewhat elusive as an engine in terms of animation potential in so far as the main schedule goes, but I intend to keep messing around with it - particularly as it's significantly better at rendering fluid effects than Eevee is. Still, the render times are brutal and simply cannot be incorporated into the current schedule, so for that I'll be sticking with Eevee for now.
Setting up the character gallery over on MEGA (google documents version having been flagged as "suspicious" for some reason) necessitated me going through quite a few of them to render up new character images, where I sadly noticed that no small amount of them have suffered some rather major issues with subsequent Blender updates. The gallery thus has had some housecleaning done with a summary below.
Full list of gallery changes:
Sophitia (Soulcalibur) withdrawn, awaiting replacement
Ashley Williams (Mass Effect) updated to newer model
Bayonetta (Bayonetta) removed owing to model issues
Jessica Rabbit (Who Framed Roger Rabbit) removed owing to model issues
Katherine Proudmoore (Warcraft) withdrawn, awaiting rework
Leifang (Dead or Alive) removed owing to model issues
Melina (Elden Ring) removed owing to model issues
Mila (Dead or Alive) removed owing to model issues
Minthara (Baldur's Gate 3) withdrawn, awaiting replacement
Kagha (Baldur's Gate 3) withdrawn, awaiting replacement
Poison Ivy (DC) removed owing to model issues
She-Hulk (Marvel) removed owing to model issues
Viconia DeVir (Baldur's Gate 3) withdrawn, awaiting replacement
EVE (Stellar Blade) removed, waiting for new model version to be released
Starfire (DC) removed owing to model issues
Ayane (Ninja Gaiden 4) ready to be added in the next gallery change, replacing her old model
Psylocke (Marvel) withdrawn, Discord voting determining model design to add back
C. Viper (Street Fighter 6) ready to be added in the next gallery change
Sindel (Mortal Kombat X) reworked, one model set to replace all her versions in the gallery
Characters noted as removed does not mean I won't be looking for replacements, just that I haven't found anything suitable yet, so if one of your favorite ladies got bumped off here it doesn't necessarily mean she's gone forever.
The subsequent MEGA gallery can now be found here:

There's a search bar at the top of MEGA, where I've made sure to name all the ladies with their subsequent game association included, so checking what your favorites look like should be more straightforward compared to the clunky document I had before. If you lose the link it's always available in my FAQ pinned post as well.
Yor's Scenario is set to land somewhere between Monday and Wednesday next week, depending on how the weekend work goes.
The holidays are approaching fast, and
I'll be taking my usual 1 week hiatus during them, stretching somewhere between the 24th and the 31st, with the first few days into the new year being a "soft start" - if anything so I can nurse my hangover a bit. The schedule keeps rolling like always otherwise, and I'll see about having a new years' wallpaper posted on the 31st as well, just as always.
The first progress report of 2026 will delineate my primary plans for the year, and might just poke into the territory of what the next large project could be as well. 2025 has been one hell of a year and it's determined to go out swinging, where I'm ending it dealing with workmen running in and out of my apartment owing to the building having suffered water damage, with the subsequent drilling and ejection of my bathroom as a result, so I've not had access to my own toilet or shower for 2 weeks at this juncture as it's looked like an old, bombed out and abandoned WW2 industry locale in there. Still, even as I have to run out to the nearby woods to get my needs met or drive to my mother's to scrub myself down, I look back at the year with some satisfaction, most monumental of all where I managed to get the Ivy project out the door, even with some delays, which is a pretty damn big weight off of my shoulders that's making me look towards the future with some spring in my step.
And while spring is a ways off, winter isn't bad either. Next time you hear from me will be the Yor Scenario release next week, where I will no doubt wish you a happy holiday and merry christmas and all that jazz, but for now it's time to take a day to recharge before the weekend's work, so I'd like to thank you all, as always, for your support and kind words. Please do take care of yourselves out there, show your bathroom some appreciation (never know when it' suddenly gone), and take care of each other as well!
