Progress Report: 12/12 - 25

Hello folks and welcome to a very brief progress report!

Ivy's project remains well received so far, and while I'll be taking the remaining Thursdays of December off or for whatever spillover work I need to do, I will be endeavoring to start the next big project come January. While I'm not entirely sure who it'll feature yet, I've got no small amount of notes that I intend to consult from my previous lineup of project ideas, so expect word on that relatively early into the new year.

EDI's comic has also come along, with proper detail posing and lighting fixes shaping up nicely on the section I'm working on. The pace it's progressing at makes me expect Chapter 3 to release sometime January, or February at the very latest.

Yor Forger (Spy X Family) has also taken home the Scenario vote for this month, meaning we'll have a christmas-themed Scenario featuring her curvy curves. Work on this begins this weekend as always, utilizing this one and the next to get it released sometime between the 22nd and the 24th this month, so hope you look forward to that!

I'll be taking a week off, as is my usual thing to do, once the holidays come around properly, so between the 24th and the 31st, which probably also eases out into a slow but safe start to the new year with a few days of recharging and getting rid of my hangover following the 31st, so barring starting some Discord character nomination periods to ensure the January schedule does not suffer, and the usual new years wallpaper, I'll be making myself rather sparse at that juncture. This doesn't mean I can't be reached, just that I'll be a bit slower to answer if something ends up happening in that time, but expect some radio silence on Patreon/Substar between those dates.

The Model List has also been updated to be on MEGA ( ) instead of google documents, as it for some reason had gotten flagged as "suspicious" over there. Going through it all and making the gallery actually somewhat conducive to browsing while reworking a lot of character gallery images made me realize no small amount of them also suffered issues as models. Thus a handful or two of characters have been pulled from the gallery, some permanently owing to model issues, other temporarily owing to pending reworks. I endeavor to post a more comprehensive list in next week's report, when I haven't briefly forgotten about writing up this report and can do it on my work rig instead of this rickety laptop.

Hope December's treated you well so far folks, and thank you, as always, for your continued support and for all of your kind words. I best go get some dishes done before sleep, but take care of yourselves out there, as well as each other!

Does anyone have the script for Rangiku's scenario “A Gigai's Woman”? Because I feel like I'm missing some context and I don't really understand what's going on.

"I'll leave this to you."

She'd heard that so many times, at this juncture, she was honestly surprised whenever she didn't hear it. A door slammed, and this time she woke to the distant groans of hollows, reverberating through the walls as they flooded the streets of the human world, and realized, indeed, it was that time of the year.

Her favorite time of the year.

Progress Report: 19/12 - 25

Hello everyone and welcome to the last progress report of the year!

EDI's comic has reached page 93, which is a good step beyond the midpoint. Section 2 of the main section (again, it'll make sense later) is coming along nicely, and I'm happy with how it's shaping up, so I hope you'll enjoy it when it finally lands either January or February.

Lulu's most recent experimental animation ( ) has had angle 2 added. Cycles remains somewhat elusive as an engine in terms of animation potential in so far as the main schedule goes, but I intend to keep messing around with it - particularly as it's significantly better at rendering fluid effects than Eevee is. Still, the render times are brutal and simply cannot be incorporated into the current schedule, so for that I'll be sticking with Eevee for now.

Setting up the character gallery over on MEGA (google documents version having been flagged as "suspicious" for some reason) necessitated me going through quite a few of them to render up new character images, where I sadly noticed that no small amount of them have suffered some rather major issues with subsequent Blender updates. The gallery thus has had some housecleaning done with a summary below.

Full list of gallery changes:

Sophitia (Soulcalibur) withdrawn, awaiting replacement
Ashley Williams (Mass Effect) updated to newer model
Bayonetta (Bayonetta) removed owing to model issues
Jessica Rabbit (Who Framed Roger Rabbit) removed owing to model issues
Katherine Proudmoore (Warcraft) withdrawn, awaiting rework
Leifang (Dead or Alive) removed owing to model issues
Melina (Elden Ring) removed owing to model issues
Mila (Dead or Alive) removed owing to model issues
Minthara (Baldur's Gate 3) withdrawn, awaiting replacement
Kagha (Baldur's Gate 3) withdrawn, awaiting replacement
Poison Ivy (DC) removed owing to model issues
She-Hulk (Marvel) removed owing to model issues
Viconia DeVir (Baldur's Gate 3) withdrawn, awaiting replacement
EVE (Stellar Blade) removed, waiting for new model version to be released
Starfire (DC) removed owing to model issues
Ayane (Ninja Gaiden 4) ready to be added in the next gallery change, replacing her old model
Psylocke (Marvel) withdrawn, Discord voting determining model design to add back
C. Viper (Street Fighter 6) ready to be added in the next gallery change
Sindel (Mortal Kombat X) reworked, one model set to replace all her versions in the gallery

Characters noted as removed does not mean I won't be looking for replacements, just that I haven't found anything suitable yet, so if one of your favorite ladies got bumped off here it doesn't necessarily mean she's gone forever.

The subsequent MEGA gallery can now be found here:

There's a search bar at the top of MEGA, where I've made sure to name all the ladies with their subsequent game association included, so checking what your favorites look like should be more straightforward compared to the clunky document I had before. If you lose the link it's always available in my FAQ pinned post as well.

Yor's Scenario is set to land somewhere between Monday and Wednesday next week, depending on how the weekend work goes.

The holidays are approaching fast, and I'll be taking my usual 1 week hiatus during them, stretching somewhere between the 24th and the 31st, with the first few days into the new year being a "soft start" - if anything so I can nurse my hangover a bit. The schedule keeps rolling like always otherwise, and I'll see about having a new years' wallpaper posted on the 31st as well, just as always.

The first progress report of 2026 will delineate my primary plans for the year, and might just poke into the territory of what the next large project could be as well. 2025 has been one hell of a year and it's determined to go out swinging, where I'm ending it dealing with workmen running in and out of my apartment owing to the building having suffered water damage, with the subsequent drilling and ejection of my bathroom as a result, so I've not had access to my own toilet or shower for 2 weeks at this juncture as it's looked like an old, bombed out and abandoned WW2 industry locale in there. Still, even as I have to run out to the nearby woods to get my needs met or drive to my mother's to scrub myself down, I look back at the year with some satisfaction, most monumental of all where I managed to get the Ivy project out the door, even with some delays, which is a pretty damn big weight off of my shoulders that's making me look towards the future with some spring in my step.

And while spring is a ways off, winter isn't bad either. Next time you hear from me will be the Yor Scenario release next week, where I will no doubt wish you a happy holiday and merry christmas and all that jazz, but for now it's time to take a day to recharge before the weekend's work, so I'd like to thank you all, as always, for your support and kind words. Please do take care of yourselves out there, show your bathroom some appreciation (never know when it' suddenly gone), and take care of each other as well!

Progress Report, Plan 2026 :

Hello everyone, Happy New Year once again and "Merry Continuation" as we say up here! It is time for the usual first progress report of the year where I attempt to delineate some of my plans and the likes going forward, while drawing upon lessons learned from the past year.

The Past:

First up is a review of the 2025 schedule, which honestly seems to have worked pretty well all in all! While it did mean an initially relatively hefty drop in support at the start of the year, I think the Less Popular Ladies Loop alongside the Scenario every month forms a pretty solid backdrop against which sporadic Wednesday animations can land comfortably while I can still get long-form content worked on consistently. A 6 day work week with Fridays off has also guaranteed me some reprieve, where it's managed to alleviate me feeling guilty for taking a day off (something I had to do sporadically, often when hitting a wall, prior to the 2025 schedule), and has done wonders for my stress levels as well. For those curious, this is how the schedule looks these days:

Monday: Animation release day, editing day, wallpaper day whenever animations do not land
Tuesday: Comic work day, Aftermath wallpaper day
Wednesday: Animation day
Thursday: Project work day
Friday: Day of rest
Saturday: Animation day
Sunday: Animation day

Owing to the schedule's structure I also get one weekend every month, the first one that occurs (such as this coming weekend) that I can dedicate to model work, asset hunting, technical study and the likes as well. Hiccups in the schedule can (often) also occur towards the end of months when the Scenario is about to be completed, which might eat into what I usually have scheduled just to get it finalized. But such is the nature of the game, as they say.

Feedback pertaining to my content direction is of course always welcome - I've developed this schedule iteratively and largely in response to community polls and the likes where I've tried to keep the media formats I am known for producing covered while also keeping in mind what is, to perhaps sound a bit cynical but which is also something that has to be accounted for, economically viable. Long-form formats in that sense, such as comics and projects, are given one day each per week to work at, while everything else is dedicated to the continuous content production schedule that pays the bills. This doesn't mean there's no room for tinkering with the schedule, but until further notice (where some truly surprising insight that I hadn't considered suddenly might be laid before my eyes - which has happened before), I think this schedule is the best I can accomplish, so I hope you're all overall positive towards what it manages to deliver in that sense! :)

The Ivy Project appears to have been generally well received, all in all. While I know it's on par with some of my longest, older projects in terms of length, the amount of work it took to resolve comparatively is on a different level entirely given the sheer amount of custom animation, lip sync and so on that went into it. Still, going into the future, I will consider the Ivy project as the new bar for quality in terms of project work, though I'm not sure if the next one will be quite as long - more on that in the coming section below.

The Future:

The 2025 schedule will continue into 2026, where for those curious I can see the next EDI (Mass Effect) comic chapter landing sometime in late January or February of this year with the pace I'm getting it sorted every Tuesday. It's the longest chapter yet, which is why it's taken its sweet time resolving it, but I think folks will enjoy it as I'm pretty happy with how it's turning out, themes and all.

The big glaring question now of course, with the Ivy project out the door, is what comes next for Project Thursdays. Despite my hangover yesterday I opted to do some initial testing for some ideas I've got, and while I haven't 100% firmly settled on anything yet there are a few things that have began to coalesce and take firmer shape in my mind. Thus there are presently 4 projects, all on a shorter run-time (upwards of 4-5 minutes perhaps, by my estimates) compared to Ivy, that occupy my mind and which I'd like to do some more research on before I'll make a proper announcement.

I can reveal, however, that the one that I'm the most interested in personally does feature Lulu from Final Fantasy X, but that it also requires more testing in terms of system load etc for what I have planned for it before I can say whichever way it will go. The other three features Ashley (Resident Evil 4), Mother Gothel (Tangled), and Jack (Mass Effect) respectively, and while they have their own challenges that need to be resolved, they all have their distinct charms too, meaning they make for good backups in the event the Lulu one simply does not pan out. This all said, I endeavor to make all of them at one point or another, so it's mostly a matter of priority here rather than a zero sum game. Any other projects that I've mentioned in the past, such as Laying Low (Tifa, Scarlet - FFVII Remake) and Continued Negotiations (Miranda, Liara - Mass Effect) and which have not received firm announcement of cancellation can also be presumed "safe" and something that will happen eventually, but for which I still want a deeper understanding of Blender before tackling. Conversely, given how the Ivy project was not of my own choosing, it is sadly very unlikely that I'll leave this present matter of priority up to a community vote, where I'd very much like to pick myself instead this time so as to be able to work on something that really carries a spark of interest for me this time around - if anything just to see how that impacts my work fervor.

While my brain is still suffering a bit from the New Years binge (when you get older, hangovers last longer - especially for those who don't drink often), I believe this is what I had planned to mention during this first report of the year, but if you find I've failed to mention something feel very free to note it in the comments below and I'll answer it to the best of my ability.

So as always, thank you so very much for your support and kind words! 2026 is looking to be another interesting year, where we live in interesting times, but no matter the obstacle I'll endeavor to measure up to your kindness by keeping the content train running down the tracks. I hope you've all had a good, restful (or fun and eventful) holiday and that the start of the year treats you as gentle as can be.

Please take care of yourselves out there folks, as well as each other!

Just found out about this artist.
He is goated already!
Need more Ivy
Well, you are on point there. He has a good bunch of IVY loops. You should be good. Also try out NONAME. He has a lot of IVY, Elisabeth (Bioshock) and WOW content. Mostly loops, but also great full vids.
