Is there any way to disable the heat system? It seems a bit unnecessary debuff and should have been an optional choice rather than mandatory. At least if all the gangs are in your control, the heat shouldn't affect much. otherwise its just a nonsense to deal with. This new heat system is really dampening my enjoyment of the game. But if it becomes mandatory, then that's that.

Nope, no way to disable heat. But you’re right - it shouldn’t affect you much if you’ve already beaten the game. That’s why passive heat reduction scales with your rep, up to a 16% decrease. A well-staffed 404 Bleach can cut heat by up to 70%, nightclub upgrade gives up to 35%, and Dampers can reduce it by up to 80%.
By quick math, the maximum possible heat reduction is 201%, while the maximum generation is 204% - and that’s without accounting for the usual fluctuations and without changing your gang type (that adds even more heat reduction). Also, players can calculate all of this themselves - it’s not hidden somewhere deep in the code or anything.
There are also a few ways to lower your heat instantly through actions or money. I think there’s plenty of room to play around it and do not feel yourself restrained - you just need to get your setup right and maybe ease off on using too many racketeers.
Yeah, jumping in with an old save might be a pain, but that’s exactly why this is a minor update.

Edit: but Ig I’ll add a difficulty choice... all heat-related changes are handled through a single macro anyway, so it shouldn’t be a problem...

there is a bug in the fighting mechanics. If you Stun your opponent they still proceed to do their actions (like defend or attack) instead of skipping their turn. Makes the stun attack basically useless.

Really impressive game! It's something I wouldn't have thought I wanted until I played it. I agree that sound would enhance the game but I didn't mind it too much without.

Would you ever consider adding an avatar system (even extremely basic)? Like just the option to choose how the PC looks at the beginning of the game for RP purposes. Maybe it's just personal preference but I like to see the how I look when I play RPGs (even if it doesn't always match up with scenes).

I don't think disabling it is necessary so much as tweaking the balance of it. Though maybe it depends on the goal of the dev what purpose it serves.

Although random you know what would be great is if you added race along with it
Some random drunked guy isnt helpful BE SPECIFIC
(if looking specifically for BBC sure be a lot more helpful for weeding through people)

I'm not sure about that, sorry. I've been avoiding any descriptions of the PC's appearance because, well… it just wouldn’t match the scenes at all. I mean, I can’t really talk about immersion in a game that throws in random porn, but let’s pretend it would break immersion too much, yeah.

, so according to it, a major update will be the one that is not backward compatible. I guess only the version with the ending will be a major one? Everything else is minor, even if it's a quite big.

Your driver can level up driving by doing heists - though honestly, I might’ve made their progression a bit too slow. I’ll reconsider it. And if or when I add something that requires driving, there’ll also be a more passive way for NPCs to level it up.
Also, anyone who uses cunning during any activities will gradually level it up too.

All randomly generated NPCs are white. All the relevant information about them will become visible over time. You can also check tag hints in the PC menu - though I forgot to add brothel info there.

He's written to sound like a neanderthal lmao. You're not supposed to catch every word - that's kind of the point. Though yeah, the formatting on that bit is a bit weak.

Ya i tried the back arrow and spammed it as far as would let me BUT just took me back to where i started (the loop)

not sure it matters BUT playing as female mc how do i get people to do shit for me? girls to be hoes for me,etc

Raise your relationship with them
Girls will only work for you if they're depraved enough - some of them just won’t, ever (that’s an oversight on my part, this whole system is getting reworked in the next version)
Then you need to assign them through your contacts tab
Same goes for boys - NPCs with the "thug" or "thief" trait can work for you if your relationship is high enough. After that, you can set roles for them too.
That’s basically the mainloop of the gang side of the game... You’ll also get other ways to recruit people later - through setting up "hooks" and getting specific gang events
Everything is explained on the whiteboard... well, not exactly about girls, but it should be intuitive enough after getting info on how to recruit thugs and thieves

Not yet, but yep, I'm planning to add a car stealing job, with the ability to create and sell car collections. Right now, cars are only an early-game niche activity with no progression in it.
