Hey all. Just found this game. Just came back to LJ after their move offline and looking for a little help from those more familiar with it.
Played DFD years ago and found a very helpful "unofficial" guide. Very helpful for knowing I hadn't missed content options and playing out the different pathways. Seems like there is no equivalent for SHS?
I just replayed over an hour to get the different choice to a consequence I made over a chapter ago.
Now I am at another possible branch point. I'd like to know before chapters later if this choice changes anything significant later before playing a chapter or more.
All I can find by googling is the same 6 cheats or belabored videos that don't delineate the consequences of different branching choices. Is there a legit comprehensive non-video walkthrough/guide somewhere?
Barring that can someone tell me if the choice on finishing the first scene with Sarah impacts any future opportunities? I did the back as she wanted and then did the inside option just to see but despite her getting angry with the second choice there is an extra scene that seems to indicate she is actually more into it and thus hinting at more future interactions.

dfd and dh had impactful choices this not that many so basically play as you want.
That did seam to be the impression many players had. Is this spelled out by LJ somewhere and I missed it? But it just strikes me as a strange shift for them since branching pathways was ostensibly a big part of their draw.
Plus "Not than many" seams to mean some. The change I just replayed for was minor so not maybe not "impactful" but still notable and a choice I wanted to do differently once I finally saw how it turned out. And the cheat seems to indicate it bypasses forked paths your previous decisions have locked you into.
Are there still mutually exclusive endings then? If your choices don't matter does that mean it is basically just one final decision for those?

The decisions during the story impact two main things: the scenes unlocked in the galleries and the tone/flow of the story.
In my playthrough, I had all endings available to choose because I pursued every girl...lol, but I could see how different decisions earlier could potentially block out one or more of those girls' endings. I don't know if they do, because I didn't test it; but I see the potential for it to happen.
Generally, this story is like a road trip from New York to California... There are a lot of different paths, ways to get there, but all ultimately lead to the same general destination(s). The primary differences are the sites and scenery along the way.
Based on your comments, yes, some of those choices are impactful about the path you take to get to the end, how you get there, what you see, but not necessarily the overall destination. And similarly, there were a few sequences I didn't like, and went back to replay/change an earlier decision. A couple of those had to go back more than one chapter to "fix"...

those mattering choices are easy to spot. most choices are have sex or not.

I've tried it with Leah. If you don't have sex with her at all you can still choose her in the end but you are either returned to the selection screen or you automatically get the solo-ending (can't remember which of the 2) because she isn't in love with MC.

It is still not newer than what we have here, the only thing added was auto forward.
No epilogues DLC yet, which the version here on F95 has.
But if you want the game now would be the time to pick it up during the Steam summer sale.

The main part, if you see the summary I copied, is improvements to the video format to make it more compatible. I never had a problem though. It is a newer version. v18.20-STEAM, Script revision: 18, YYC build.

It isn't content wise...the version on F95 has the DLC and epilogues, ONLY auto-forward is "new".
So I think I am toward the end of the Halloween party which I think is about half way through. I would like a spoiler on whether the Leah in trouble/at odds with Emily over the break-in thread keeps on persisting?
This whole premise and everything around it have been logically bizarre from go. I can't even blame Emily as much as the plot tries to make her look crazy since MC's every interaction with her has been the conversational equivalent of a contortionist act no typical human would ever perform that can only serve the purpose of making Emily more suspicious of Leah.
At this point this thread has completely taken over the plot. So now in a way I never experienced with DFD this has turned into a slog for me where sometimes I can only get through a few lines of dialogue before having to take a break due to shear frustration with having to play as this MC.
So does aspect become past tense significantly before the end or does it just keep persisting for most of the rest of the playthrough?

As far as I know no. Most choices (outside of if you want to have a sexual act with someone or not) don't matter, except for the following:
I believe that no other choices that aren't clear "I want you now" really matter to the plot or let you miss out on sex scenes, but I don't mind to be corrected if I forgot some.
