There's nothing about being "cleverly economical". This is by design. We have always built traditional Visual Novels, and in this genre, the "backgrounds + characters sprites" combo has historically been the standard, with CGs (full illustrations) reserved for special occasions. Looking at Japan, the motherland of Visual Novels, proves that.
The "porn slideshow style" that has become popular lately in many games shared here has somewhat taken the essence of the Visual Novel term and now I see younger players thinking that's how all Visual Novels should look like. Heck, I also see too many people playing a novel and complaining they have to read
This game is by far one of the best in here, keep up the good work! Valerie is the hottest one, she is gorgeous! I love all scenes of hers

I'm having a hard time understanding what is so difficult to grasp here.
"download says cracked do you need the cracked chapters file to use on 13 or not?"
is different from
"Is this information up-to-date, and if not, what has changed?",
mostly because the latter contains an implied suggestion that the OP might need re-editing, but also because the latter only requests information if the information has changed.
The first question is more of the "How do I...?" variety, whereas the 2nd, 2 part question merely asks if the information is current - amazingly answerable with a single word - and in the event that the information is no longer up to date, THEN the question becomes "What information has changed?".
Based on the prior response I received here (not yours), and the length of one I ignored after the first couple of words from a douchebag who decided to PM me*, reading comprehension isn't very strong with some members of this group.
Although it does seem some people try to make up for their shortcomings by being assholes. I'm not sure how the math on that works exactly, but I'm sure I'll get another couple of notes I can ignore trying to explain it away.
*One way you can tell if someone's a right cunt is if they send you a long letter that starts off confrontationally, and then, like a little bitch, they close off responses to it.**
**Although I guess maybe they are due some kind of consideration for literally starting a letter with a sentence that all but screams "You really don't need to read more from this fuckwit to know it's just a waste of your time".

since op links says cracked you don't need to dl dll from cracked versions, if it doesn't say then you need to dl that dll.
it's on itch.io but can't play beyond current free release (prolly ch 8) since there is no cracked version for android or mac.

Thanks, cxx. Your civility (which I appreciate) aside, it seems the information on the front page is now out of date, as it no longer applies to all versions, only Android & Mac. Speaking for myself, I'd probably have avoided even looking at the download links for PC (which would have been the only way for me to know that Chapter 13's PC release was for a fully cracked VN). There are too many good, one-step-install VN's here already for me to justify more than the most rudimentary install on any individual game.
BaasB - would you please update the OP portion about cracked chapters, since the PC link is cracked through the current chapter? I wrote it out for your convenient reference in a way that should minimize the need for individual chapter updates as long as the paywall exists for those users.

this has to be one of the best plots in any AVN. they really learned from their mistakes in dfd and dh (specially dfd ngl)
