VN Ren'Py Shattered [v0.23] [Yeda Games]

YedaGames, my man, the new renders and events in the old versions were a great work, but I found a bunch of errors. I don't know if I screw something when installing the 0.23 or if you already aware of them. Ignoring the errors, the AVN keeps going normally, but I was thinking if this may cause any issues later in the game. An example is the new event with Trish. There are 3 errors, depending on the choices, and another in the end of the event. I attached the errors and choices that led to them.

I already solved this issue in the hotfix that's available in my Mega folder.

This will probably sound like a dumb question but was this the final update? Only reason I asked is because I thought I saw somewhere this game was close to completion & I was going to wait for the final update to play it so I could just play the full completed game.

The game is technically finished but it's not entirely complete. And it's missing endings. So, take it as you will.

Quand j'ai commencé cette route, je la considérerais comme une expérience intéressante, avec une dynamique qu'on ne retrouve pas sur d'autres chemins, mais quand il a dû produire du contenu, je n'ai jamais été inspiré. De plus, avec mon manque de temps constant, cette route était constamment mise de côté. Je comprends qu'on puisse être déçu par cette voie, et je ne peux que m'excuser de l'avoir rendu si trompeuse.

Quel que soit votre itinéraire, vous devriez pouvoir accumuler suffisamment de points d'amitié avec Gill. Vous pouvez en obtenir jusqu'à 16 au total, et seulement 6 suffisants. Je vous conseille simplement de modifier votre fichier de sauvegarde pour obtenir plus de points (variable « gpf » pour l'amitié ou « gps » pour l'intérêt).

If I had to drag this already insufferably long process any longer, I would’ve gone insane.
It was a much more convenient decision to get the carcass finished and then flesh it out rather than the other way around. You have no idea how many angry messages I’ve been getting in the last three months or so demanding the new update. Stuff like this just adds to the stress, and I am already living under constant pressure every day, every hour. I’m not looking for excuses but it was either this or getting stuck forever.

But to add to that, everything I didn’t put in v0.23 should be eventually included with the endings, so here’s that.

I am very sorry if I came across too arrogant. I don´t want to be the person eating cake on the moral high horse telling the artist at his feed to suffer because that what artists do to achieve greatness.

I generally feel you achieved something outstanding with Shattered. I called it the "War and Piece" of AVNs on Patreon and it really is just amazing that this VN exists. A lot of other devs would have abandoned something of this size and complexity that only seems to bring in moderate financial revenue a long time ago.

I don´t know if you ever said where you are located but from what you say I would assume that it is Ukraine. That would make your achievement even more astonishing.

All this while you hang out with us on a pirate forum and still try to help out people as good as you can.

Hopefully you can at some point step back a moment to see what YOU made possible and don`t see all this as a burden or something you just had to power through but as something you can be proud of and feel a sense of accomplishment.

Your problem wasn't the points, you've got enough of them, but the fact that you haven't showed the picture of Stewart and Gillian to Jasmine back in one of the early acts (otherwise, Iris simply wouldn't recognise Gillian). That's a necessary step. I fixed that, tell me if it worked for you.

Well, I can't really tell you what to do but here's the thing: simply getting to the end of current content would take you several days of continuous playing if you read everything without skipping, so it's not like you'll be missing out on that much stuff. I'd say it's probably a good idea to just check the game out and decide for yourself if you even want to get those endings. Maybe you'd hate the whole experience.
