Yeah, that's fair. This game is really damn good though, and I'm trying to be as completionist as possible, but that gold key situation is bugging the shit out of me.
edit: Figured it out. Turns out the only thing that door is for is to get back home after beating the main game. That's it. You get the key and you only ever use it from the inside. The whole game I was thinking "I'll come back here as soon as I find it and see what's inside!" and was avoiding going into the postgame because I didn't want to miss the opportunity.
Does anyone know what that strange area is to the left of the first castle that you get your companion, it says it needs a key but that is the only place i can't seem to unlock?
