Yeah, that's fair. This game is really damn good though, and I'm trying to be as completionist as possible, but that gold key situation is bugging the shit out of me.
edit: Figured it out. Turns out the only thing that door is for is to get back home after beating the main game. That's it. You get the key and you only ever use it from the inside. The whole game I was thinking "I'll come back here as soon as I find it and see what's inside!" and was avoiding going into the postgame because I didn't want to miss the opportunity.

i know absolutely nothing about game modding, but is there a way to de-censor this game? or perhaps has someone already done that?
Does anyone know what that strange area is to the left of the first castle that you get your companion, it says it needs a key but that is the only place i can't seem to unlock?

Pretty sure you get teleported there at the end of the game
I had finished the game before and i never teleported there? (Not that i remember anyway).

Game is old, so it is VERY likely that the game speed is tied to frame rate. If you have a monitor with a higher refresh rate than 60, you'll run into this problem. Try and find a tool that will lock the game to 30-60FPS, and that should fix it (probably.)
Edit: Not having much luck with this solution myself, so may not be correct.
