I think 2 months is a good time-frame. You can slrmtl the game, fix any bugs which pop up, and be done with it. Reducing the time to 2 weeks means you might keep getting called back for v1.04... then 1.05... then 1.07, except no one uploaded 1.07, so you have to reject the request... then people find 1.10 and get annoyed when the patch for 1.05 doesn't work. A 2 month wait is just so much smoother and cleaner. Theoretically, "2 weeks since the last update, if there isn't another update expected" would be fine, but few people are going to check the dev's blog for news before submitting the request. You could split the difference and cut it down to a 1-month wait; I guess it all boils down to how much of a hassle it is to keep coming back to a game and how hands-off the process tends to be.
But I suppose part of it is based on my own free-time. There's just
so much media to be consumed that I'd have plenty to do during the 2-month wait (like finally beat TotK). We're pirates too, so there's an above-average amount of said media available to us. I'm also secretly hoping that some requesters will go "This can't be
that hard; I'll do it myself" and we eventually end up with another person doing translations. They get really into it, and now they're even doing games in WolfRPG.
And since I'm here, I'd like to submit a request for
Labyrinth Flowers. It's a drpg made in rpgm MZ, so there
might be some weirdness in the scripts (I haven't seen a translated rpgm drpg before) but it's not VXace so I'm not
too worried.
