Hey Shisaye, could you translate these 2 games?
They are short and the story is not that important so a basic translation should be enough.
Thanks in advance.

I already have a long backlog of stuff so this would take a while.
Also I need translation request threads.

But If they are short and not that complex, why not use SLR Translator yourself?

I don't want anyone specific to think that this is because of them, it's not. I've been talking about this for over 6 months now and it's obvious that this cannot continue like this.

My backlog just keeps getting longer, while my PC just keeps crashing, and you have to understand that as much as I like helping people, there's a limit to what I can do for an unpaid "hobby" like this.

I will keep taking SLRMTL requests until the 08.01.24 and then SLRMTL requests will permanently close.

I will do my best to finish everything on the backlog as well as everything requested in those last few days, and I might still translate some games that are particularly difficult or otherwise interest me personally, but I will no longer respond to Translation-Requests.

I know not everyone can run SLR Translator, but I can't reasonably do it anymore either, and nothing is keeping people from sharing translation patches like I did.
If you have a powerful PC that can run it, I would encourage you to please share translations and keep this train rolling.

I will still work on improving SLR Translator, and respond to questions and problems regarding SLR or RPG Maker in general, this is just about me no longer processing random translation requests.

So you are closing requests forever, or you may open again in a year or two after backlog finishes? Just for clarification

I found a Translation-Request thread for RJ01116584, but there doesn't seem to be one for RJ01165266.
I can't process that request unless I have a Translation-Request thread.

A bit of a weird question (and no, I have absolutely no plans to leave this site, I actually really like it here), is there actually any serious competitor to F95zone?
I mean let's say this site gets seized for whatever reason, is there actually another forum that doesn't take copyright too seriously, has a translation section, allows porn, and has reasonable rules?

I really can't think of any, this site seems pretty unique...

ULMF has rules that prevent any kind of proper support. I couldn't even ask for game files to reproduce an error for a bug report there.

Anime-sharing seems to "technically" allow translation/tool threads, but those sections seem super dead.

LoversLab maybe? I'm not really familiar with that website, but I've seeen it being mentioned sometimes, seems to be popular with modding related things at least.

Loverslab does not allow the upload of games of dlsite as far as I'm aware. In general they have gotten more and more strict about content, which is why, for example, parts of the Sims modding community moved here instead.

Anime-sharing does not have a dedication section for translations which makes it odd to post translations there. Translations (without the games) are allowed to posted under the Mods\ section, but translations + the game must be posted under the games section which means someone randomly linking the game in the translation thread, to help out potential translators as is very frequent here, might be a rule violation there. That makes it unnaturally difficult to translate stuff since every translation thread with the game files also requires an accompanying game thread and the game release threads have rules that must be followed. Providing mirrors of other people's uploads on their threads is also not allowed, so it is not just a simple matter of posting the link elsewhere. An entirely new thread must be made.

Compared to that, f95 handles translations as a first rate citizen and even has dedication sections for just translation tools and provides a place to share translation info. It is as good as Fuwa in that regard, but certain translations are not allowed here. Translations of games that violate Rule 7 are not allowed here at all despite the translations themselves being either pure-text or binary files.

Despite their normally oppressive rules, ULMF does allow translations for what are considered Rule 7 violations here (just the translation, not the games ofc), so any translations not allowed here should just be posted to ULMF by reflex since there is no fear of having the translation-only threads removed. ULMF does have weird rules about asking for DL links, but not against providing them, or asking for them if they were provided in the OP but are now broken. If they would relax their rules, ULMF would be a good place to collaborate, but they insta-ban anyone who does not follow them to the letter which prevents their site from being a welcoming place.

The fact that I couldn't actually ask someone to share the latest version of a game they want translated or risk a ban is a level of moronic that I honestly do not want to consider.

I can't find a rule that would prohibit it and one of the threads does actually share a full game, but considering there's only 4 almost empty threads in the translation section, and that one thread was made by the admin, it's not much to go on.
I guess I would just have to ask the staff there if this actually ever becomes an issue.

At this time there is no serious f95 competitor, i have no doubt that if f95 dies another site will take its place pretty quickly, there is a really big market necesity, that is all it takes, this site does not exist at the time becouse competing with f95 is almost imposible and all of the stuff that is not allowed here has allready found its place in the world, so no, there is no f95 competitor at the moment.

Welp.
I don't actually have any indication that this site is going anywhere so I suppose it doesn't matter, and my work isn't particularly important anyways.

Edit: removed some stuff after request

Btw since timezones are weird and I don't want to be too anal about it I will still take last minute requests today, but that's really it on the 2. then.
Using International Atomic Time because reasons. :Kappa:

It's just that MingShiba (the creator of Sugoi) contacted me a few days ago to talk about SLR and he raised the valid criticism that it's a bit shit that I basically do not have any way to get contacted except this site, and so I just randomly asked if other sites like this even exist.
I mean, there is something that could work like f95, kind of, that would be arca live, but its not really like f95.
