It's been 5 months since the update, but there have been 4 sets of previews, there was a patreon post earlier this month. I think you're jumping to conclusions here
On the Creator's Paetron under Evelyn's November 1st Sppoktober Post, someone asked them about a release date and their reply is from two days ago saying release date announcement is coming soon.

Are the words of a developer in June about Evelyn. Let's hope so!

I can't get into the store to buy groceries. There's nothing to click on that will let me enter the store. It says I need to get them before I can go back home after school.
