I am doing nothign else but skip time and sleeping. Have I missed something that triggers the better grades.?

I am playing on 48a, with no prior saves..

after class talk to the teacher, private study, it will take a while to get that started
at home, pc in mc room, study

I tried all that.. for weeks and weeks..

I restarted the game, did it as my first 'quest' got an A straight away.. Not sure the game likes you missing too much of school early on.
