If I remember correctly you have to buy the chain and replace the broken one from the bicycle
I have searched on this and the answer seems to be attend every class, which i have done.
Do all the studies which is nearly every day.
Yes I only seem to get a c or a D grade each week.
I am doing nothign else but skip time and sleeping. Have I missed something that triggers the better grades.?

go to school, do the class
after class talk to the teacher, private study, it will take a while to get that started
at home, pc in mc room, study
I tried all that.. for weeks and weeks..
I restarted the game, did it as my first 'quest' got an A straight away.. Not sure the game likes you missing too much of school early on.
