Yep, I was showing you where it's currently at, I'm not in a discord for this and going by publicly available stuff without extra steps. Someone just showed it's coming out soon, gotta be patient man, translation takes time.

I'm waiting on monster girl quest part 3 to be fully translated, I refuse to play mtl. Someone did the math and part 2 took a year+, since part 3 is quite a bit bigger than 2, it might take a year and a half or more depending on how much they're doing.

My point is, the translation's going to take time. Thankfully Shrift 2 isn't anywhere as big and I don't think will be anywhere near as big as monster girl quest part 3 in terms of dialogue to translate.

We'll have to wait and see how chapter 3 goes, I'm also hoping when they're done translating shrift 2, they go back once shrift 1 has the black fox update and they fully translate the game's extra stories, I want to know the lore behind the characters badly.

Why don't you want to play mtl? I played bobs mtl and it was pretty good, far better than waiting. Im the type of person who sees most mtl as completely unplayable so it's really a testament to how good bob's is. Throughout my entire playthrough there have only been mistakes with gender and formatting. Curious about your reasons

1. not everyone know how to use it
2. my experience with mtl is awful, i have a lot of "wtf?" moment when i read mtl mate, so much that i'd rather not reading at all

Because, imagine playing through a god knows how many hours rpg, to have a sloppy translation, edited mtl is still not the greatest. Most people don't really want to play a 10+ hour rpg to then play it again with the actual good translation.

Hence the waiting, I'm very patient, I'm doing other things while I'm waiting for shrift 2 to be translated, chapter 3 to be released for it, monster girl quest paradox part 3 to be translated, and demon in wonderland to be translated.

Plenty of stuff for me to do, while I wait.

Bob's mtl far surpasses anything ive seen from 99 percent of other mtls. As ive said I fully dislike mtl and generally never use it because of those "wtf" moments but in my 30 hour playthrough I had barely any "wtf" moments, besides complicated things I never understood anyways being explained. People see mtl and immediately pick up pitchforks without actually gauging quality. Not every mtl is the same, not every edited mtl is the same, but waiting for a real translation always beats mtl. Once again man, a good quality translation is worth while waiting, most likely won't be doing a second run anytime soon if ever of monster girl quest paradox, way too long. Only really plan on doing the intial 3 runs, monster route, angel route, and the third route after doing the two. I understand not all mtl is bad, but actual translations are far superior.

I appreciate the resassurance it's good, I'm still gonna wait.

Make sure not to download it as a zip, double zipping it breaks it

It's broken because I removed the file, there was a new patched version so I felt no need to keep it around, if you want to do the TL yourself check the raw file in my main link

Could someone explain how the "level 2 spirit"s actually work? Every once in a while i get them in a dungeon and they always get away. The wiki says they're weak to everything except physical damage, but every time I use holy a holy attack and it deals 0 damage. How do you actually defeat them before they run away?

They're only weak to a single thing and invulnerable to dark and holy. So it's an element like fire, ice, yadda yadda. Gotta use a skill or item to find it out.

At last I have found a disadvantage to my holy-only build. I haven't even unlocked the elementary attacks lol
