Thanks man, very confusing indeed, I was going by the version numbers in the posts here, and the version number on the translation file.

so, does that mean the 2.84 version download is translated? I feel a little confused by what "prepatched" means

The translation is a patch the translators use. That's on me for the confusion, I thought most people knew it was a patcher. I'll remove it for clarity's sake as it's not really important lol. We only ever uploaded the translated version here.

Don't worry, you're not alone, it confused me too. I don't read Japanese so I don't know what the first one is but the other one seems like the actual changelog. If you go in order though you're likely to open the first txt and it'll look like a version number.

Mods, I'm sorry for the extra work. There's no actual update, I just forgot to add the free pseudo-DLC/bonus scenes, which the translation already covered. I went ahead and added that and reran the translation, so it should be all good now.

Also removed "patched" from the filename to avoid confusion as a lot of people seemingly don't know the translation is through the a custom patcher made by the translators lol.

I'm guessing this happens because I need to set enconding to japanese before extracting or something? happens when I try to open the box in the bedroom on a new save

Reading the rest of the conversation, it's the mary content.

Just read the rest of the translation post too:

"Our translation release at the end of June will be covering the new Mary-san content, new scenes with Nut and Rose, and the new item refining content the dev's been working on. We're looking forward to getting this out to you soon."

So yep, not translated yet, oh well.

Yep, the translation patch doesn't cover all the new content yet, it just lets you play the most updated version with the patch and adds the stuff they've worked up until now. There was a shotgun of patches across a week, so yeah, lots of stuff to cover.

Works fine for me. I made sure to change everything to Japanese encoding before extracting, etc. Try to extract with winrar, open via double clicking, ctr + e, set to Japanese, then extract.

Edit:

Did some further testing trying to reproduce and isolate your error, and for some reason I'm getting it on a new game even from a fresh download from dlsite with no translation or dlc applied, so I'm not sure what's causing it.

It may be a bug introduced by the dev on new saves, but who knows. Hopefully someone else has a better idea.

At the rate he's going, probably, unfortunately. Part 2 took forever, but at least he's making steady progress. IMO he's focusing on too much side mechanics though.

tried extracting on windows and linux, japanese encoding using a new save gives the error. HOWEVER I found an 2.56 save on another hardrive, and it works afaik
