The 2 posts above you should give you an idea, so no.

"Lanpas" is Lampas from the first game (and the card game in this one). You find her in 1-2, and she's weak to fire (don't tell Hecate that).UsingYou must be registered to see the linksto translate, the first post is him discussing using AI animation software to try and get some creative inspo for idle animations he can use for the game, but struggling because the AI he chose is rather incompatible with his art style and also isn't meant for NSFW stuff in general so it gets kinda botched. The small animations you've mentioned are some of the sample works he's released to backers combining his AI tests and his own editing, but since I'm not a backer I can't say anything on how they look.
For the other posts, this is what he has to say on progress according to DeepL again:
Text → Pretty much done
Illustrations → Still not done
System effects → Finished most using placeholder art (stick figure sprites), but test play is super surreal
Of course he wants to finish the illustrations more, but "the sheer number he needs to draw is massive, so progress is slower than expected." He does also find himself getting too aroused while drawing and decides to jerk off, but has since come to the realization that he busts harder when getting off to other characters not in the game like Lanpas or Ivy (? Not sure who this is, original JP is イビー) so he's thinking he might be in a rut from drawing the same characters constantly, hence why he took a break to lake the Lanpas video. He closes by saying that he really wants to get it done by the end of the year, but thinks it might be tough.
As a recommendation, I'd suggest translating the posts on your own as well to try and get a better picture of the full situation. This is just my summary of an MTL of both posts, so there's sure to be some nuance lost between my own summarization and the translation itself.
For a moment I was like nooo Deadlock's Ivy claims another soul....UsingYou must be registered to see the linksto translate, the first post is him discussing using AI animation software to try and get some creative inspo for idle animations he can use for the game, but struggling because the AI he chose is rather incompatible with his art style and also isn't meant for NSFW stuff in general so it gets kinda botched. I have never seen a Developer work so hard on a game and then damage it so much with this level drain issue. When I played Shrift I, I played through on the "Spectator" level, since I knew the game would remember when I screwed up. (I was also playing without a decent translation) The Developer seemed to delight in taunting me. I was not a gamer. I was just a spectator. I developed a real distaste for the Developer. It's like selling a product that needs to be assembled and then ridiculing buyers who are having difficulty. (Even though the instructions are in Japanese) He probably limited his market to 10% of what it could be. It must be a little lonely at the top.
Thanks. I will give that a try. Much appreciated (because otherwise, I really like the game)I mean... you could do the trick I do, yes it makes it tedious, but it works, and completely prevents the system in place, and makes it like a regular save, where you can just reload if you mess up, no consequences.
So, what I do for shrift 1 is I save the game, I make a folder (outside the game folder) and name it something so I know what I've recently done or just an overall progress one, then I take my Save folder, and I take the PublicData.rvdata2 (this is how the game keeps track of various things, also if you try to cheat the game and exit when something bad is happening to try to prevent it, but instead gives you debuffs that make fights harder until you win them), and I put both of these files in said folder.
Shrift 2 is even easier; all you have to do is go into the www folder, copy and paste the save folder, into same as above for the 1st game, a folder named for similar reasons.
Then you just copy and paste the respective folders for the different methods into the original spot they were and overwrite existing files, and bam, no consequences, and your save is just like how a regular save file works when you want to rewind time and not get punished for it.
Shrift 1 you'd copy and paste the Save folder, and PublicData.rvdata2 and overwrite existing files.
Shrift 2 you'd copy and paste just the save folder and overwrite existing files.
Also, before it's asked, yes, you have to do this method and overwrite the existing file/s in the named folder every time you save the game.
As I said, is this tedious? yes, it is. This is the method to do though if you want to deal with the cards you're dealt with the dev.
