Whatever you did, it led to the game not applying the invincibility status to KazuyA (though he should start the game with it...). never mind, i managed to find a solution online: you just have to launch and quit the game ten times.
I coulda sworn going from genocide to true mercy could fix that, otherwise true mercy to finishing ex4. But if not you have 2 options:
I don't know how much I can say without actually spoiling it. Mostly because I haven't even played it myself yet. But from what I've heard, something happens in Genocide that EX4 makes impossible to happen. Or EX4 gives a certain "ending" or something. I don't remember exactly what it was, but it was one of those two things I think.
Even telling you would be quite the spoiler though...
To put it in layman's terms, the Bonus that allows you to reset NG+ gets locked once you complete EX4. Preventing you from resetting your bonds with demons and by extension making it impossible to kill them.
