Alrighty! So basically, switches 532-534 should work (but not 535, that's genocide, and 531 looks like TM, which would lead to hypocrite, and i assume you want base geno). After interacting (oh, you DO have to save, bc it's not shrift 2...)with a save terminal, the game should think that you've already beaten it before, and should adjust correctly, but i'll check and see if that works like I want it to...

Much easier than it should have been. Here's the steps for genocide without beating the game first on the latest version of shrift:Ain't no way I missed a switch literally titled "Game Clear!"
That's switch r34, and should most certainly go on.I think that's whatI forgor the first time I tried geno on a fresh save...
1.Play up to walking to the gate after getting the cure for mother rabbit's rabbit transformation thing.
2. ABSOLUTELY make sure you turned on switch 650, switch
3.Interact with the gate and...

4.Get obliterated by Hyakki until you've finally had enough and either A. Scour the weapons and armor section of the debug menu for hopefully op gear, or B. Use mtool and the like to give Kazuya a demon's milking skill (like one of many heavenly suck's) to one shot Hyakki, and determine your fate.
That's pretty much it, shouldn't be any more problems after that. Pretty much just ignore those last few posts of mine and use just this one... on a clean save. The publicdata file goes too.

So I play normally until I get to the point i get the cure, then I start to fiddle around with the debug? I'm not quite sure I follow. Isn't it possible to change it from the get-go?

You probably can change it from the get-go, but just to be safe I recommend doing it before right opening the gate. And yeah, play normally until you're about to leave the alley, you got it right.

i’ve encountered a very strange bug: when my Willpower reaches zero, i lose the battle. why is this happening? has anyone else experienced this?
everything was normal before, but this bug appeared at some indeterminate point.

what’s the email that’s supposed to appear in the game’s folder after getting the True Mercy ending? i really need to find out, as I didn’t get one. i assume it’s a bug.

Whatever you did, it led to the game not applying the invincibility status to KazuyA (though he should start the game with it...). Not sure how this happened, but you should probably reapply it with mtool or smth idk. Try sleeping or drinking tea. Also, Willpower is Hp in rpg maker for those who don't know

what do i do after the Genocide End? how do i carry on playing? surely i don’t have to start all over again? i never got to play the Collaboration Scenario… and i haven’t seen the other endings.

…but most menu options have become unavailable (although my saves are still there and i can load them by starting a new game and then choosing “Load” from the menu). is there anything that can be done about this, or do i just have to play through the whole game again?

I coulda sworn going from genocide to true mercy could fix that, otherwise true mercy to finishing ex4. But if not you have 2 options:
A. Talk to the chicken (it's actually a pig...) in hell's gate and enter this code:5641071
B. Delete your publicsave file. You'll basically be playing the game on a fresh save, as a ton of vital switches and variables won't be configured (be careful about using a genocide file tho, might change some things).
