Like most bosses, it's all about reading and adapting. The boss is a lot easier when you take the 1000 cuts method and get small chips of damage in here and there rather than committing to big, powerful hits.

You mean the barrel boss? I swear normal hits do nothing and you need to wait for the specific barrel attack.

Trust me, they do have some effect, even if it's small. It just takes patience. That said, the barrel counter does deal a helluva lot of damage, so I can understand why it may seem like that.

Because the gaming market on DLsite, Itch and elsewhere has been saturated to the point of near-drowning with RPG-related games since Lockdown, and probably a fair bit before then too.

the site is in japanese so it's hard to navigate. That's what this forum is for, at least to me it's more convient

My guess is they only use the threads for updates and seeing that there was no progress made well you get the idea..
