sekiren hardly has any content.
Yagiri has a lot of variety and "losing" is hardly an issue, stages are separated in demos, and you can still cheat hp\undress values if they bother you that much.
The bees using yagiri as a disposable mating chamber is nothing but absolute peak.
Comparing games that are at vastly different stage of development is a bit of a clown event.
Sekiren is only 1,5 year into development, while Yagiri is a little over 3 years at this point.
The only situation when it would make sense is to compare if "older" game is not slogging too much (like Eromancer's Pure Onyx is, in comparison to a lot of other fighting games).
Now, much more fair comparison would be between first demos of Yagiri and current demo of Sekiren.
Yagiri had a workable prototype earlier but it was super barebones. Even if we take into account full-final demo of the first level and compare it to the current demo of Sekiren, we will also see that focus is different.
Yagiri to this day is 100% end-to-end sidescrolling platformer game. Sekiren meanwhile has some progression already baked in (Village area between missions). This Village area and progression system + much smoother animations kinda take away in h-content quantity...and that's fine. All of these are fine.
In the end, both games will be winners but with a vastly different focus and may not appeal to the same people (with Sekiren being an objectively more interesting fighting/movement system, with Yagiri having better and more diverse h-content).
