Are you actually comparing a game developed by a single dev and a AAA game developed by hundreds of people with a huge budget?
Well there are many ways to comprehend my comment above, but instead you chose to highlight specific words like "Dev", "AAA" etc.

let me rephrase, "My laptop can run AAA games but not a simple game like this due to compatibilty issues". does that clear it up? The dev in this case could have cleared this by adding DX11 Support like many other similiar games running on UE5
games such as wildlife, Beasts in the sun, lustland adventure(this one is relatively new so you can ignore it).
I played all those games and I know how they perform on my device yet a similar game is proving it difficult.

Yeah I know it takes lots of effort to get a job like this done and a single dev can only do much. hats off to the dev for that.
But its about screwing up this patch specifically, I played the previous patches and suprisingly they worked fine, I wonder why did this issue arise now.

Hope that cleared up your misconception.

idk, wanted to play this game, but the game lag so much that can't play it properly. Maybe I'll give up to this game.

Don't blame UE5. Lots of shit, very heavy shit even, made in UE5 work nicely, smoothly even.
Auril on the other hand seems to be testing every single experimental feature that comes out on this game.

for fatal error I did this and it worked
%localappdata%/ost_game/saved/confid/windows/engine.ini
add this at the end

[SystemSettings]
r.FidelityFX.FSR3.QualityMode=3
r.FidelityFX.FI.Enabled=0
Can vouch that this fix works for me, at least for the 30 minutes i tried it. Before this, my game crashed 3 times in 30 mins, with this there's no crashing. Can you explain what these lines do?

i think its funny that i have a gaming PC with a 4070, but I'm not putting a porn game on my main machine. So the fact that i can't run this game on my gaming laptop (which can run other UE5 indie games) makes me sad but i guess I'll take my theoretical money and time elsewhere.

Maybe you are doing something wrong, because I have a 4060 laptop and the game runs with several errors, the solutions of which are already here

So is the graphics supposed to look like it got dragged through a nuclear reactor or is there a way to fix the graphics?
(graphics are all set to max)

The game gets worse with every update. Do you need a 4090 video card to play this GAME? It just turns off, although everything was fine before. Played at 20-30 fps with lags in previous updates but it worked. As I said, the game is getting worse and worse. After 4 years of game development, this is terrible. If the game was created on Unreal 4, then so be it. With the transition to the Unreal 5 engine, the game lags and the processor is 95 percent loaded. I don’t advise you to play, it’s better to watch videos in full saves and delete, the game is not worth 10 hours or more of your life:poop:
Shitting on a dev build (barely an alpha) for which you didn't even spend a dime on, way to go pal. Just chill the fuck out and go cry elsewhere.

So I tried to run this in a potato laptop, and of course, it didn't. However, I have quite a number of Unreal Engine games that I can run such as WildLife (slow) and Subverse (fast). What's the difference? Can a cooming tech guy enlighten me?

Specs (if helpful):
Processor: Intel I5 10210U
RAM: 8 GB
System: Windows 10 64-bit
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce MX330

You're out of luck for now, try another game.

is it normal that i get 5 sec lag every 10-15 sec? 4080 ryzen 7900x 64gb ram
Nope.
Running a 4090, AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D and 128GB ram.
No stutters.
On my other PC - 1080 Ti, AMD Ryzen 5 3600X and 32GB ram, no stutters either.

Make sure your GPU has the latest drivers, I think it is currently 552.22 (I am running Studio driver - more stable)

Yeah mate. This game eats resources like no tomorrow. Think it is all the background world that is rendering plus various other things like lightening and shadows etc etc. Your GeForce MX330 is a 2GB GPU, which is very outdated for modern gaming - 2 GB that is. Most need at least 8 GB dedicated.
Your CPU if remember is a quad core @ 4 GHz turbo and 1.6 GHz at idle. Don't think your CPU is the culprit here.
RAM, I have 128 GB ram on one and 32 GB on another machine. This eats about 20 GB RAM right out of the gate.
So either GPU or RAM (or both) is why it won't run.

I would go with RAM as the issue. At least it would launch with potato graphics if you had enough RAM. Some laptops you can add more RAM into or change out the current RAM sticks to a higher one. That is one path you could take, and RAM sticks are cheap as chips. Just make sure you buy the correct module that goes into it and match the speed of the current RAM sticks. Changing the RAM may also give you better performance in WildLife and other various games that require more then 8 GB (you probably only have about 5 GB usable on your machine after windows and other dedicated tasks eat the ram - you can check via task manager / performance tab how much you have to play with, and the PC wont use 100% of the RAM as this will cause the PC to crash).
