So, after trying out Providence Girl/Girl Life/Adventures in Saint Petersburg (all loosely renditions of itself managed by different dev teams), which are arguably the best QSP life sim games, I decided to try this game out to see if it's any good. To start off, the translation is... incomplete. As far as I can tell, it is machine translated, or I hope so because if any actual translators worked on this they are in desperate need of a editor or at least someone who knows English a slight bit better. Moving on, this game throws you into the thick of it with little or no guidance really. If one had never played a life sim game similar to it like GL-ETO then they would be horribly off put by this. Now here's something that GL-ETO did right that this game did wrong that I noticed from the start, in GL you start with living in the apartment your parents own and have to go to school, in the mean time after school you have plenty of time to explore, work minor jobs, and plan ahead for when you graduate and are no longer being hand held through the game essentially (plus the translation is much, much better). This gives you essentially a breather to learn the fundamentals of the game before being thrust into the grind hell with no real direction to translating the cypher text of machine translated Russian, of which some words aren't even translated and instead are just kept Russian (Yeah, fun stuff for us that are not multilingual). Then there is another aspect I really should point out, the game's prices and the game's wages are completely imbalanced, at least in my opinion. What do I mean? Well the cheapest, DECENT apartment you can get is 4,500 Rubles a WEEK, and working at a job pays monthly but rent is weekly, now that's all good if you started out with a decent amount of savings from your 18 years of childhood before being kicked out of home, however you have the equivalent of $150.29 USD (9,800 Rubles) in your pocket, and that is it (thanks google for the conversion rate). Which means for the first month or so, you are likely to be bumming it with the hobos(lol, literally in both ways ;3), which is dangerous if you don't arm yourself with a gun and or knife, which costs... you guessed it, money which you don't have. So, what does this all mean? Easy, it means you are fucked, no literally, you have little choice but to sell yourself out for cash in between working jobs to make sure you don't get kicked out of your home, because guess what, everything costs money, food, drinks, cosmetics (naturally required for higher paying jobs like working as a model or actress, marketing doesn't like fugly), and even getting around the city, because unlike GL-ETO you can't just walk from point A to B, you have to take either Taxi (which costs 300 Rubles per trip, but is sure to get you to where you wanna be a lot quicker) or to take the metro (30 rubles, but can take a lot longer because of each stop). This all eats away at your money leaving you little choice on what you can actually do to stay afloat, and here's the kicker, it has the premise to be a good game, but getting anywhere without using the cheats (which are quite hidden) you stand little chance against the grind and rng. But hey, the music is decent, I suppose. Just found it little counter-intuitive to have the game so stacked against you when it's marketing statement is having the choice to be a slut or to not be a slut (Shakespear anyone? No? Ok.).
Now, why did I write this long ass review in comments and not review? Simple, I don't want to give any star rating, because if the game does get picked up again I want to give a fair review of it once it has been polished up... a lot. But I also wanted to give others a fairly detailed description of what they are getting into if they play the game as is. Hope it helped.
