Thanks for the heads up, I hate sandbox games and avoid them like the plague with exception of a very rare few. I was considering getting this but you've put me off it

Impressions are... not positive. 0.5 seems to have added a total of jack shit new h-scenes, basically just an alpha of a dime a dozen poorly designed sandbox game.
Can't say i've hit that far yet but I do wonder why so many of these VN's suddenly want to go sandbox. Out of every feature I see devs add that is the least popular.
Youre right, it was rape and it was scummy as hell. I think folks are trying to expressing frustration that the (arguably) best looking model to appear in the game is severely underutilized. I share that complaint. There are several ways she could have been incorporated into the plot in a larger way- stranger things have occurred in adult VNs- but it looks like that ship has sailed at this point.
Sandbox almost always accompanied grinding, and even when it doesn't typically ruins pacing and interrupts dramatic tension. Very few games make it seem like a benefit compared to a choice based VN. The ones that do it best are those that minimize grind and make the freeroam segments feel organic to the world while remaining simple.
More on this: The grind added by the nature of sandbox games makes the game seem like it has a lot more content than it actually does. So I can understand, from the developer point of view, why it is appealing, padding up your game with minimum effort.
in a normal game with an actual story sure, but in this game which is basically sleeping with everyone and getting as many of them pregnant it's not far fetched
