yeah lots of ppl are waiting for it, what seems like eternity now. too many ppl are making accounts there and they are in 0 rush. some are lucky, some are waiting, but majority is on waiting side. for ppl usually only place they can instantly open after they get booted off P is boosty

Yea, its one of those things that we don't normally think about.
but advertising yourself is a good idea.
makes sure that if someone finds your stuff at a random place, they know where your official channels are at.
and it doesn't cost you money because you are advertising with yourself.

I read that they charge between 5% to 12%, depending on your chosen plan.
Gross/My wallet = 20%
This includes many hidden charges : transactions, this and that... at the end : 20%

The problem with Steam is one shot only.. pay and forget.
Have a reason why Adobe, Microsoft and all others switching to subscription plans.
If you make mill's... sell it. If you make under $2K (like me)... subscription can keep you alive.

Yeah but subscription plans are no bueno for this here consumer. I'm not going to pay more for an AVN than the $70 I spent on Baldur's Gate 3. Nothing personal, just how it is. My pocket book can't handle that, especially with inflation/shit economy.
There's major pushback on sub's by the way. People like actually owning their games. It's one of the problems I have with Steam and I buy stuff on GOG as much as possible. Steam can decide out of the blue you break TOS and there goes your whole library of stuff you paid for.
I do understand on 100%.
If you subscribe for $2 and pay annually with discount .. you can pay $20 for the year and enjoy all downloads and communicate directly with the developer.
I believe this is fair.

Oh, yeah I don't expect anybody to work for free. This site does a pretty good job at letting me find games that I'm willing to pay for. I'm just referring to budgeting and keeping track of subscriptions and stuff. At least with Patreon we own the game that we have and it's not tied up with Steam or other DRM. I am pretty sure I've already paid a bit for this game and I'm waiting for it to be finished before I pay the last bit. That's what I usually do, if I get a bunch of hours of fun out of a game I'll pay for, say, half if I feel it's about half finished then the other half when it's done. But to each their own.I do understand on 100%.

ravagar is tied to steam DRM. and is not hosted on patreon. they just collect money there and give you access to the game on steam if you pay at least 10$/mo
