as far as i know, if you want Ema snitching is requirement (do not warn james). here got old hints about it and you got also mini guide inside game to check.
beside those days you get ingame red text warning on choice when you are about to close path with girls.

well there is a cheat for it
JamesCheat = 5 (not warned), 1(james warned)
so if you got no progress pass that should be fixable, unless you got too far ahead and maybe some other variables came in to play. (new house / old house - not sure if it got any effect)

well every renpy got ingame console, tho you have to enable it.
if you are on pc can use unren and nr3. other systems can manually enable it

in any \renpy\common\00console.rpy and set config.console = True (default False)

if you are on phone you are fucked, then you can use

also keep in mind, what ever you are changing 1st check without (=), to see what is currently set and if you write it right, it is case sensitive (big/small letters)
