that was couple years ago, by now you got pretty much all on unlimited, with next update Betty joins the unlimited club and with that all but 1 which is out of circulation are unlimited pregnancies.
there have been lots of changes in that regard incl initial Ema scene.

There is an opinion that a pregnancy of 20 days is rather short. Given the accepted timeline, it should be 90, at least 80 days. However, there is a fork in this issue: on the one hand, a long pregnancy will make more realistic gameplay in terms of the number of children, but for 40 days to exclude a girl from active interaction is quite cruel to the player, and we need new content with pregnant women, but to turn the game into a grind to produce children is also not the best solution.

Yes it is very tiresome, James gives responsibility for Ema to MC, but even if he had sex with her twice and her orig baby is the MC's, every visit it ant squash, im sleeping, showering and nothing further. MC passes on invites its bogus.
