looks like there were lots of changes at the beginning of script.rpy file (2.3 vs. 2.4)

since script.rpy is the main file, these changes will affect (break) any saves made after these lines.
if the save is not close to a "label" then they will get the error: "Exception: Couldn't find a place to stop rolling back. Perhaps the script changed in an incompatible way?"
usually it's best not to "update" the same file (script.rpy) but to break them in releases/chapters/scenes i.e. script1.rpy, script2.rpy, script3.rpy & etc.
Hmm, I did add that new button yes. Idk what the logic behind it not being able to find a label because I have many. I'll just add the choice to skip to recent updates and then try to not edit the olds parts of the script anymore.

Just wanted to report I`ve just played the new version and it was great. This incest story is wincest. I also think Erik is being much better written now (pretty much my first/only gripe in the early versions). Loooking forward to the coming lewdness. Cheers.

This Multi Protagonist alone turned me off. I don't want to play as a female or more than one character. they should have a choice which one you want to play as and stay with that ONE character.

Well, I put that there for a reason! It's a kinetic novel so you are not really "playing" anyway. If it's not your cup of tea then that's totally fine, but I'm not going to change anything :p

Thank you! But Erik is not "better written", he's just slowly giving in. Character development is a thing ;)

First time playing through and Im in the evening after the jellyfish sting (D12) Helga is genuinely such an asshole. If I were in Lynas situation facing such blatant favoritism and isolation on the island being rejected left and right just to have my mom whom ive spent so long seeking the approval of finally give affection but only as a means of manipulation to get her to do chores while she shows further favoritism. Id have gone insane ages ago. The fact that shes so happy just to simply be called "cute little baby girl," a similar nickname to what she calls Erik quite regularly, it shows how fucking much of a disparity between the attention she gives them. Helga is such an awful mother and frankly shes a bitch. Shes played off her ignorance on the favoritism before but this intentional manipulation on her emotions is disgusting and made me pause so hard. Its cruel.

WOW! Calm down! I don't think I could misinterpret that scene harder even if I tried :ROFLMAO:

Look, she's such a cruel mother that hates her daughter and never shows her any genuine affection! What a bitch!:mad::mad:
ch2_1722.jpg

Jokes aside, that little scene in day 12 was just a fun moment for Helga when she gets back at Lyna with her weak point, after Lyna keeps getting away with the suggestive comments. I don't know how did you even considered that Helga is cruel when it's said and also shown multiple times that she loves her children very much, despite some troubles in the past. She literally calls her "little angel", "pumpkin" and all those cutesy names before that without any ill intentions.

That might be your intention as the author for it to be light hearted but it does not come across like that to me. We were just shown a week of Lyna being ignored by both her mom and brother with the blatant well-established favoritism, and when she finally has enough and gets mad at the beach the only conclusion to her outburst is the privilege of giving her brother a blowjob and her feelings on the matter not being priority. Her mother still favors Erik, he even calls her out on that and she hardly denies it. I dont doubt Helga loves Lyna but clearly not to the same extent as Erik, and to call Lynas desire to seek affection due to a clear lack of it "her weakness," like yea her mother has thoroughly impacted her self worth to the point of it being a weakness. So when her mother finally acknowledging her daughters weakness and the first thing she does with it is emotionally manipulate her it kinda has a negative connotation to me rather than a light joking one. Im not hating the game, and characters are meant to be flawed but im just saying the moms kinda being above and beyond neglectful to lyna and intentionally exploiting a weakness like that is an awful thing to do.

Dude, read the novel again if you are going to make those assumptions. Seems like you completely skimmed over some narration, dialogues and scenes by the look of it. None of them are perfect role models, but Helga never acts like a bitch. She still loves her daughter very much and just has a deep ingrained favouritism for her son that is hard to change and she doesn't want to awknowledge, because Lyna

I don't think I need to comment more on this, because you completely misinterpreted the scene as a super cruel gesture just like some people misinterpreted Erik pushing a very touchy Lyna away into a bunch of soft sand as hurting her physically. But then she literally molests him at night and grinds on him after he trips on a rock and is semi-unconscious, just like any good sister would. The double standars man :cautious:

I feel sorry I ever gave this game my time of day to read through then if youre saying i just skimmed it. I just wanted to start a discussion on Helgas character with how much shes written to sideline Lyna, even in the same flashback that youre using as an example Helga entirely ignores Lyna winning a silver trophy well before her rebel phase. Even if shes unintentionally favoring Erik, you can see how that would hurt Lyna. Being ignorant of the pain you cause doesnt make it not a bitch move, thats all im acknowledging. If your intention wasnt to make Helga a bad mother than youre right I clearly misinterpreted something and its that this story is worse written than I thought and i wont engage with it anymore.
