You guys (and galls) are being overly harsh on the MC, poor bloke is having an existential crisis in three directions all at the same time.
Rebecca has him tied around her little finger and is thowing pussy at him faster than he can react, he's bound to be a little bit put out by it all.

Except you miss the part where the dumbass actually thinks it's incest and that hes about to be arrested. I get trying to deal with feelings but when you keep whining about how he's in so much trouble its incest (though doesn't quite say it) blah blah blah. It breaks the readers relation to the MC. He's now both unrealistic and unrelateable.

Excellent update. Sure we're going to get the trolls complaining about the MC's attitude, but as I have said before. We have only spent 11 days with the girls and he's battling his inner thoughts... as any sane person would even if they were in this situation.

Perhaps you can help me understand....

Why does the MC act as though it is incest?
Why does his inner dialogue treat the situation as some great crime? No, literally he thinks he will be arrested.
How would telling anyone have any effect on his life? There is not one thing Shannon can do about any of this yet he says otherwise.

any SANE person would know that an older man running off with a younger woman is not even a rarity or a crime. And if you've watched an episode of Jerry Springer, a daughter running off with an Ex stepdad is a social faux pas, but not a crime.

He SHOULD struggle with the situation of fucking his daughters. It SHOULD take time. But those are not his struggles as they are written. He panics about things that don't even relate to the story. It's like he wrote all the MC dialogue for a game WITH incest and wrote all the rest of the game without it.

Shit writing is shit writing. And the sad thing is every thing else written is really good.

I get it, but like I said: it is all new. He never thought about them in another way, they always were his daughter. And about Lilly Yes, he had sex but he still think that maybe it was just for the moment and that maybe she will regret ans this is what he hates the most: they regret about something, they realize that maybe everything is not what they thought about, because, he is the adult, even if Becca is older than Abby and Lilly, so I still understand those doubts, like I said, the normal thing for a man who is a father is not think about that way towards his daughters, even if they aren't biological daughters. He raised them as his daughters. It isn't something that he will forget so easily, it takes time to get comfort to this kind of relationship.

Fantastic update, but there were two things that I wished were different.

The first is the bet that Becca/Lilly had, which seemed to cheapen the event a little. I feel like with "5 years of planning" there would have more to this end game push than making a bet, even if it makes sense in context with what Becca said at the diner about giving Lilly permission.

More importantly, I wish there had been more of a sexual progression with Lilly, like there has been with Becca, instead of jumping straight to the sex. Again, it makes sense in the context of the story (and it WAS a great scene), but I've always enjoyed that kind of build up to the actual sex.

That answers the struggle as he should. But it doesn't answer any single question I pointed out.

He's flipping the fuck out about being in trouble by an authority which shouldn't be part of the dialogue at all. People finding out shouldn't matter, because that wouldn't be his issue.

His issue should be his direct relationship with his daughters, which that should be a slow burn but instead he's already had sexual relations with all three. Contrast a slow burn of like DMD where the whole first chapter pissed everyone off because they did nothing while the moral dilemma was there.

Maybe it's because I am a stepfather to an adult daughter that I understand just exactly how this all is retarded. I wouldn't care about who finds out. I'm more concerned with the bond we had in the past and what it means in the future. I would know that any type of sexual relationship would just destroy everything. Here he mentions it but it's always glossed over, they do sex stuff then in the post orgasm guilt he flips out about how illegal it is. That's my issue. It has nothing to do with the whining. Its the useless, baseless, idiotic whining that breaks it for me.

Mentioning the legal ramifications of incest in a porn game seems foolish. Porn games have a global audience, yet there are no global laws regarding incest.

In some countries, incest is not criminalized at all. In my state (Ohio), only parental figures are targeted, including in loco parentis. If this story takes place in Ohio, the MC would surely be prosecuted under the current incest laws, despite having zero degree of consanguinity. (Yes, my state legislators are imbeciles). In much of Europe and Asia, there would be no prosecution. (A few places still impose the death penalty).

So, can we stop talking about what's legal and what's not? Can we get back to page after page of complaining about the "whiny bitch" MC?

I like this VN, and my personal favorite is without any doubt Becca. Lilly easy gets the second place, and her character development is really great. Abby is a sweetheart, but honestly is the less mature of them all.

And the MC... Well... Yeah.. I understand the struggles, but sometimes you have to face reality in stead of running away from it. And the reality is that the girls are not longer kiddies that need an protective wall around them. They have grown up, and the MC should respect that they can, and will, make their own decisions. By trying to refuse their needs and desires, he also shows he cannot accept they have grown up. If he really want to do the "right" thing, he should accept them for what they are. Adults that make that make their own choices. And those choices are choices he has to accept, unless he still wants to treat them as immature brats that have do do what he wants them to do.

Of course I say all these things from a game/VN perspective. What do I want to say with that? Well - You can make a game/VN from a "reality" perspective, and try to make situations like "real life". That only goes so far as a game/VN is enjoyable. If you want to mimic "real life" struggles and decisions, you walk the fine line between "too realistic" and "enjoyable realistic". I think the struggle the MC has with the sex aspect is dangerously close to the "too realistic" side, and too far away from the "enjoyable realistic" side. I think most readers here starting to get fed up with the minimal (or even lack of) progress the MC has. Sure - It's realistic, but this is also a game/VN and not real life. If the struggle goes to a point it is starting to piss people off, the whole purpose of the "message" misses the target. In that case the MC goes from a person that people find sympathetic, to a person that people find pathetic. And that would be a shame, because this game/VN is really nice.

About the whole incest perspective (Abby - Yes Abby is not his real biological daughter, but still very close). Well - Keep in mind it's a game/VN. There are other VN's that also had this theme, and some of them are really great. A prime example is Love Ribbon from Razzart Visual (you MUST plread it with the addon DLC for the best ending), but there are more.

As a (very) side remark - One last thing I would mention is the name of the MC. You see - All people that have seen the (cult) film(s) HellRaiser will feel a bit tormented about the name Frank. It has some strange associations that I cannot fully shake off....... Hehheh - Just kidding.

Anyway - A great update for a great enjoyable game/VN - That's for sure!

Glad to see that I am not the only one that is sick and tired of the MC inner dialogue. Sooooo much text for so little progression. For every minute the girls spend in getting his attention, there's 30 minutes of him fighting them off, while internally having a proverbial meltdown over it. It's like a reverse corruption in super slow motion. The girls are very sure about what they want, they always have been, and there is no relation to any of them since the divorce, and so there would be no reason NOT to make them happy. Just ask Rebs. She's explained it like 1000 times already ...
