No, if you do that some people will load the wrong save file ( from part one ) and the game will break, then they will scream bloody murder. The best way to do it is to use multipersistent data in Ren'py, it's actually built into the game engine to break the game into parts, and pretty easy to do.

I do the save transfer for Rebirth and it works fine, only had one hiccup when a variable wasn't declared correctly. The only problem is getting people used to hitting the "Start" button on the next part and then picking the game data they want to load, even though it's explained at the end of each update. Each update someone is asking why their saves didn't transfer over. I made 4 "save slots" for that game, but if you only wanted to do one save to transfer over, it's very easy and the player won't even know that you've done anything.

from now on my android ports of Ren'Py games have a 2nd, persistent save location like windows. if you uninstall an app, the save files and persistent data remain intact.
therefore the app needs the permission to access the public external storage (or a new one on Android 11 ), because it has to read and write outside its own external storage directories.
you have to grant the permission or the app is shut down.
