Well that is because movies today are more about people feeling happy in their pathetic bubbles. That is why everything that is mildly not stupidly happy, with rainbows and unicorns always have some douchebag finding the weirdest explanation trying to make the artist the worst person.
I think it is great to make people fall in love with characters and later destroy their bubbles. It makes a greater impression.
The conversation was game related given MC's past. And yes, all of us can't wait to have some alone time with best girl. But you know this game is slow, moving yes, but slow. I prefer to make my decisions in-game based on what the character would know, so for me, it really isn't, but I do save in every choice so I could just go back and see another time.

I believe you're thinking of Acting Lessons, when you help Liam hook up with the Smurf (whose name escapes me) who is a possible love interest you can choose to end with. But you can't hook Liam up with her if you pursued her as a LI, only if you rejected her at the beginning of her route.
And the definition of NTR in F95 terms, as it was explained to me anyways, is your LI cheating on you for the express purpose of creating jealousy in you, the MC. By that definition the flashback/nightmare scenes are most definitely not NTR.
