been a while but has this changed in the game, I saw in the changelog that there were some rewrites...

While I kind of agree that the inner conflict is a bit overdone, I think that it is something that has the potential to pay off. The only issue is that the dev really, really, really needs to deliver big time to capitalize on the build up. Hopefully he can pull this off.
The updates are still really short, timeline-wise, and could do with more progression. The assets, locations, animations, etc. are not completely new each time, so there should be more content in the same time release windows.

At the end of what?
There are a few scenes in the shower in the story and some of them are alternatives to other scenes depending upon choices. I haven't played the current release, and the ones I'm thinking of, in particular, are in about the first quarter of the story and are Abby related scenes.
You probably need to elaborate a little if you want a definitive answer.

I think some folks need to be reminded of the definition of "insane"...
Not sure how you're getting lost on " shower scene at the end ". I'm referring to the shower scene at the end. The one they were headed to when the episode ended.
If you check the images folder there's like 40 more images after he carries Lilly off. URM has no variable check and the 1.25 scrips ends at that scene. So as far as I can tell that entire scene is cut, but the images are still included.

Sounds like a headstart for next time, then. I've seen this in several VNs when I Unren.
Maybe some people expect that Frank will develop as a character after "just" +5 years of updates.

No matter how much time has passed inside the story, the "i must resist this temptation" has become old years ago...
When the guy has been dealing with this temptation since day 3-4 of the story, it doesn't matter if it's been only 30 days, 60 days or 180 days since they moved in... it's old by now.
This poor dead horse has been beaten for waaay to long.
People arguing that "it's realistic" have no sense of story telling or pacing.

They've stated clearly: they only want to fap and don't understand the "N" part of Adult Visual NOVEL. There's a story. Part of the story here is the intellectual and emotional struggle of a man in an absurd situation. I guess all connections to even the vaguest bit of reality have to be abandoned for any of them to be happy. Plus, they probably can't even spell "intellectual" - they certainly don't know what it means.
They should all probably just grab R34 type site porn loops and be done with it since they don't understand in the least what the "N" stands for. Those folks are the reason the average IQ of this place will be, at best, the number in the name, though the reality is that it should likely be changed to "F85" based on what I've seen the last few years.
