I decided to give it another chance and played until the end of the update. I regret this. How is MC still so insufferable?

It's a slow burn, and MC is "insufferable" because he has realistic paternal feelings at the forefront that conflict with his sexual desires. Don't worry, it gets a lot less later on, especially a few days after crossing lines with both Becca and Lilith.

I also expected more scenes with at least the other two, but nope. Barely any after the first scenes (And nothing particularly good either) where you finally have sex with them. I guess maybe the developer is trying to make this a game that stands on its own merits instead of just the porn, but that only works if your characters are likable or story is compelling neither of which is the case here.

The sexual stuff with two of the LIs ramps up a bit during the hotel stay in 1.18 and 1.19, so that's something.

Lilith is still annoying but better later in the game, while Becca and Abby were good from the beginning. A lot of wasted potential here.

Lilith gets a lot better at the point where she comes visit MC after her latest breakup, and even moreso in 1.17 (I think), after the time when MC takes Lilith to a parking garage to give her a little driving lesson.

MC is very clear that he wants Lilith to experience what a loving relationship actually can be like, as in more than just sex.

But, as mentioned, it ramps up a lot during the hotel stay (where Abby believes MC is away at a conference out of town).

True, plus most arguments that he should be less introspective and display less self doubt over the changing nature of his relationship bring up the fact that he isn't blood related to any of them whilst neglecting the fact that even so he had still held a position of trust and authority over them which, to many outsiders, he could be seen as abusing/exploiting that position. In the same way that though it's not illegal for a supervisor to have a relationship with a subordinate, it is usually at the very least frowned upon because of the perception of a possible abuse of power.

on the one hand I get why people don't like the slow burn process, it's not typical for an AVN when in most cases MC jumps face first into pussy two updates into the story... on the other hand, I can understand it from a realistic perspective... if I were to put in the same position with girls that I considered my daughters for like a decade, it's not so cut and dry any more...

I wouldn't even argue as much about realism - even though I did so in the past myself, so being perfectly hypocritical here. However I notice more and more, not only in this game, if a dev tries for something away from the usual formula some will like it and some won't - which is to be expected, but some of those who do not like it just can't seem to let go of the game.

Add to that the tendency of some players to try to reason that their kinks are somehow superior ("I am self assured so I don't have NTR problems and like to share", "I am not a cuck, so I will not tolerate NTR", "I am the master of the universe so girls must fall for me immediately", "Any real man likes boobs as big as it gets" and so forth) and we get some of the at the same time most and least interesting and amusing postings many other forums can only dream about.

It's less that the character has doubts; it's that he repeats them incessantly. It feels like you could cut internal dialog in early chapters and drop them in later ones and you'd probably not notice. It's not the character at this point, it's the execution. He just keeps repeating things the reader already knows, it's not new information, it's not even old information reinforced in a new way, or anything of the sort. It's the same information said in the same way, and repeated over and over.

Or about whether or not he is ready and willing to become a biological father, also at his age. (And I don't know about Canada, but here that would include real legal issues, since any waiver of responsibility Beth and Nessa give would simply be null and void.)

His interaction with Mei will probably go in a similar direction as with Lilly, except that Mei has less experience and is less "Bam, in your face! Frank's reaction in his dream was rather that he apparently met Mei's father and he reacted accordingly realistic first "panic", although he actually knows that Mei's parents have given their blessing.

Abby, on the other hand, has always been "his" little girl for almost 20 years. A mindset like that doesn't change overnight. Also, we have to keep in mind that while we're relatively far along in the update count, we're not even a month into the actual storyline. A perceived contradiction arose from the fact that most updates only cover one day.

I don't personally see any issues with Mei, and Frank was dtf pretty quickly in the bar at that one time or with Beth, so with Mei it should probably go smoother than with Lilly and Becca. Abby on the other hand... I'm seeing lots of internal monologue

To expand, they changed to a newer version of Daz3D but the theoretically possible upwards compatibility didn't really work with the models and they weren't able to truthfully recreate the originals.

Also, the worst crime ain't the girls, it's Francis staring at the ceiling in bed ...

The real crimes are Frank's (only Shannon calls him Francis!) new face and fashionable taste. Mine may not be the best either, however, Frank's sweater, I suspect he found the Grinch, killed him, skinned him and now wears his fur as a sweater, makes me want to wash my eyes out with turpentine.

I think he was listing to people telling him that he looked too young (as he did) but he made it worse.
